I will say we need them to start stepping up their non-conference scheduling. If they’re gonna be this big and bad at least do the league a solid and win some marquee games.

I mean pot meet kettle for sure but we at least have LSU and OU lined up in ‘27 and ‘28. Techs first marquee match up isn’t until ‘33 when they have Oregon.

This is the best situation. I’m so happy for Connor that he’ll get to run it back in a system that has changed this team from a 4-8 team to a 9-3 Texas Bowl team.
I’m also excited for Henderson to grow into an elite QB with the coaches and Weigman to mentor.

I disagree with your premise that CW would only have the QB spot locked down if he was looking at a high draft slot right now. It is fairly normal for QBs to have a good JR year and be an excellent college QB, but they are on the draft bubble need to come back for the senior year to guarantee being drafted. Both Kevin Kolb and Clayton Tune fit that description. I’m not sure either of those guys get drafted if they don’t come back for their SR year. And Greg Ward didn’t get drafted at all, but I’m pretty sure he had that QB slot locked down his SR year.
Most coaches are not going to bench a SR QB that has played for him and produced good JR year results for an incoming FR with no experience. The only comparable situation I can think of is the Hurts/Tua situation at Alabama, but Tua was a SO and Hurts was a JR when Tua replaced Hurts. Tua was a 5star and did not get the starting position as a FR.

Weigman is a stud horse competitor. A great leader and tough sumb#%. He took some wicked hits down the stretch. Guy leads with his shoulders. He’s the type of guy his teammates want to play beside. Really happy about this. And Matt Thomas is a gimp.

So what? We dont have any so called blue bloods in our league, but we certainly have schools who can win NCs, in FB and BB…Get sick of the term…You know why Ohio State is a blue blood? Because theyve been cheating and buying players for a hundred years!! I hope Miami or Aggie will beat them by 50 points in the Cotton Bowl…God, i hate them…
