I love my Coogs, but playing a 11:00 AM game for Sept 5th IS NUTS!!!
It’s a game day decision for me. If we get over 92 at kickoff, I might sit this one out.
If our team has to use the Wet Bulb Global Temp for practice, then it should be that way on game day. I know espn needs content, but not at the safety of the players. it is hot enough in the stands, I can’t imagine being a player for a 11:00 game.
Younger me sat through some hot ones…like UCLA KO at 11:00. But everyone is going to be huddled under the stadium to get out of the sun.

Exactly. These TV networks control things.
So instead of playing these games at night for cooler weather, which fans would enjoy best.
No, sit in warm temperatures for a 3 hr game.
Fans are free-will people & can choose not to come. I dont blame them
We have 2-days on weekends to relax, if a hot football game isn’t relaxing. Probably aint going

The networks better have provided the school for medical emergencies if they persist on airing day games in the South with temps well over 90 and 80% humidity.

The temp was 96 degrees at noon there yesterday.

There may be more to the story but hopefully this is enough to warrant real discussions about moving early season games in the South to late nights going forward. It’s bad enough for fans, now you have players dying.

The USC attendance was 51,144 per ESPN.
That’s good paid support. USC is doing fine with support in the LA.
Good point about the need for night games in the south for august and September then have the northern teams take the 11am / early games for those 2 months.
