You send a lot of behind Paywall stuff. No bueno.
The Athletic is actually doing a lot of coverage of this! Way moreso than ESPN for some reason.
This doesn’t have much in the way of new info. Just Aresco saying that they didn’t actively reach out to schools and cannot be accused of doing so.
Doesn’t come up paywall for me. I think they give you a few free a month.
I’m not a Sentinel subscriber.
Stick the url in here. Should work.
I don’t think I’ve ever posted a paywall article in this thread (by design)
No biggie. I tried twice n it blocked me. Not going through any other method…not worth it. Thought it was you, sorry if it wasn’t, but there was certain poster recently every article he sent was behind paywall. And yes I am subscriber to TA so that one is ok.
Air Force, Colorado State, UTSA, and UAB would be good choices.
farfetched but, i’d like to see Rice added…
If they’re adding CSU and Air Force, I wouldn’t be shocked to see them stay at 10. If they go to 12, they’d have to really step on some toes in arranging divisions.
Could see a West division of Air Force, Navy, Colorado St, SMU, Tulsa, UTSA. Then East would be Memphis, UAB, Tulane, USF, Temple, ECU. If they add FAU instead of UTSA then throw Memphis to the West.
I doubt it at this point, but I think there is a good chance they head off to the MWC along with North Texas.
Conference USA could be left with UTEP as its only Texas school.
When all this started I thought they would go to ten and stop, but they’ve been pretty consistent about going to 12. They seem interested in UAB and there has been some scuttlebutt that CSU/AFA want a Texas addition.
See, Norlander says, “clear desire for AAC to add more than two.”
Not, “from the AAC”
Who the Hell is doing the desiring???
Sometimes I hate these twatter hacks.
CSU and Air Force are fantastic additions to the AAC.
The MWC is only held together by Boise St. and San Diego State (to a lesser extent) and if the rumors are true of Boise joining the Big12, then why would I stay in the MWC?
Even if Bosie St doesn’t leave, they still get a sweetheart deal that no other team in the MWC has and it’s been reported how this has irked the other teams in the conference. The AAC would offer a great platform and equal revenue sharing to all its members.
Good call by these schools if it happens.
Don’t understand why SDST have to attached themselves to Boise. They should be looking out for themselves because Boise is not taking them along to anywhere. Again, I don’t see B12 adding anyone unless PAC 12 raid 4 B12 schools. By then, SDST would have a chance along with Boise, Memphis and USF/SMU to part of B12. If I’m SDST, I would go to AAC with UNLV if Boise doesn’t want to go with them. Leave Boise out to dry by themselves in MWC.
CSU/AFA to AAC discussions
" Brett McMurphy casually saying CSU/AFA to the AAC as soon as next week"
" My opinion on Colorado st/Air Force/UAB going to AAC"
OMG! That bulletin board is so archaic and not mobile friendly.
I really hope the Big 12 does NOT add Boise
If they’re gonna add anyone that’s the only school left with any gravitas.
I sure as Hell don’t want Memphis State-Homicide.
I hope we stick with 12 unless PAC schools become available or 2 G5 schools elevate themselves to a point where they are a no brainer.
Boise is not a no brainer.
