If the arena held 10k we would not have these kind of problems…

Left from Spring Branch at 4:35, walked into the stadium at 5:50. Some of y’all need to get a grip on reality.

Why can’t ESPN make the eastern time zone teams tipoff at our 6pm CST instead of making the CST schools tipoff at 6pm?

They must have taken a page out of the MLB playoff scheduling format lol.

ESPN makes money from viewers and not the turnstyle.

Left the house at 4:30 and got into Fertita at 6. My wife and I are fortunate we have jobs where we get off early.
Where were you coogs1 at 6? Does not take much effort to turn on a tv.
Think before you post

Not everyone can leave at 4:35.

Man, is there a fan base more defensive on attendance issues then the Coogs?

I am fortunate to have reached retirement and healthy. Since we live in The Woodlands, we can leave 2 hours before tip and have plenty of time for traffic problems and still be in our seats 30 minutes before tip. I understand our still working COOGFANS who do not have flexibility with their jobs that a 6:00 tip is difficult. Just hope they can do their best to make it.

Now, for the TU game (noon tip on Saturday) I just wish 80 to 90 percent of our fans will be in their seats and create a pre-game atmosphere resembling what we saw this past Saturday at KU.

Nope, it happens every week starting with the first home football game in September until the last home basketball game in March.

Exactly and an hour plus in traffic.

The problem is not just the driving traffic through Houston. When you get on campus, the green lot parking lot queue is also very long. I don’t understand why don’t they let the cars in on Elgin instead of making everyone enter through Entrance 16 and Entrance 18 roads. I left downtown at 5:15 and made it right before tip off.

Is there a fan base that castigates itself more about attendance rather than talk about winning another game in the toughest conference to keep the lead in said conference?

EDIT: I should mention not even game attendance but start of game attendance

It doesn’t matter what time the game starts, Coog fans will always find a way to be late lol.

I was tailgating
I had to clean up my tailgate
I had to pick up my kids from school
I had to stop at Bucees
I had to stop at Starbucks and Target for my wife
I had to pick up golf balls at the store
I did a Chick Fil A run

Man, the next time I attend a Coogs basketball game, im going to survey the area before tip off and count empty seats. Then I’m going to get out my phone and log onto Coogfans and post a topic in the basketball forum asking where everyone is at.
