Where is everyone?

I turned the game on at 6:30 and was disappointed in you guys’ turnout.

6:00pm on a Tuesday when you live in Katy, TX and have a family with children is hard to attend unless the stars align perfectly. My son had soccer and I was on the sidelines watching him play while streaming the Coogs live on my phone. Such is life.

And people want to plan about going to Mexico next season… The audacity of them… How about attending home games first at Cullen blvd.

Possibly the most ill-informed post ever, and this is a fan site. Coogs1 is starved for attention.

I’d be curious to see what your thoughts/opinions of our basketball attendance are. Are you pleased with all the empty seats/excuses being thrown around?

Just wait until the football season starts… I want to hear them excuses or avoidance by them trolls.

Well every other fan base talks about us, makes fun of our attendance issues, especially with football we are an embarrassment to the big 12, they say why don’t y’all support your team etc etc, so our fans have a stigma about it now i guess

And why are u people bitching about the way it looks on TV , ur part of the problem get ur asses to the football and basketball games then we don’t have to listen to y’all complaining about attendance

Good Lord, I’m so tired of this discussion. I’ve had season tickets for 3 years now. I work in Katy and live in Jersey Village. Yesterday I had to leave my office at 3:30 to get home, change into Cougar red gear, grab a quick bite to eat, pick up my friend at 4:30, get to the green lot at 5:30 and in our seats around 5:45. Thankfully I have the flexibility to do that. Not everyone can pull that off. In fact, unless you’re a student or retired, I doubt many people have that level of flexibility. It’s just the nature of being in Houston. 6pm weeknight games are always going to look half empty at tip off. Accept it and move on.

It’s always these retired boomers who have nothing else to do besides golf, hunt, fish, or bowling league that say the most about attendance.

Then they have the nerve to ask for a senior citizen discount for everything like they didn’t have 40+ years to save up.

I was 12 minutes away. Didnt get any food was in my car at 5:15.

And i still made it at 6:06

Idk how other people do it but its not easy to get there. Traffic has been bad with all the road closures.

Attendance was fine last night, just late arriving which is understandable.

I couldn’t agree more. The problem is the games are sold out(basketball) and the people that can’t go, just leave their seats empty.

FIFY

It’s both.

Pretty petty response. The fact is the place had whole sections open at tip.

Anyone see that OU attendance last night? It was terrible, and that was against a ranked BYU who probably brought some fans.

We suck.

We are literally DEAD LAST in all of the P5 in terms of fan support…pride for our univetsity…generational lagacies …and apathy!

The sad thing is that our alums don’t even take this personally…they have no opinion whatsoever.

This is proof winning does NOT cure all.

We have a HUGE Culture problem at the University of Houston
