Which Coogs are coming back?

Got it, that makes sense. I take a bit of comfort in that Sampson wouldn’t go after a guy if he didn’t think he could do what he needed him to do. And having 4/5 of our starters and nearly our entire bench back should help with the transition.

Minus Shead’s replacement and 2 incoming freshman the roster’s the same. I feel like we missed an opportunity to improve it.

You have 2 contributors that will be Key part of 8-9 man rotation that either missed all of BIG12 Conf gms in one of them and the other missed good part of BIG12 play. You can’t downplay what those will do n make Team deeper as it was hoped things were going to be last year.

Unless you are talking about getting that big from Indiana State not sure how many players in the portal that would be a surefire improvement lol

So you don’t believe in Sampson’s development got it.

Also apparently doesn’t believe that actually playing guys on the roster who were out last year results in any change. BUT THE ROSTER HASN’T CHANGED MUCH.

Yeah, the “nothing has changed” argument is weird. First, we have to assume we’ll have a healthy squad. There will likely be injuries along the way, but we can’t assume that we’ll have multiple people out for the year and our best player out for the Sweet 16 game. Second, everybody on the team has another year of experience under their belt. That’s another year of experience in the Sampson system, but also another year playing with nearly this exact same squad. That’s huge.

So Milos already committed before visiting because people are reporting it as a big time pg as a done deal to UH.

You were “being told 4 different names by different people”?

Are these secret sources you have close to the program?

Because that sentence implies you have inside information.

And you “get DM’s from people on who they are hearing we are targeting “?

I didn’t realize you had so much insider information….i thought you had mentioned before that you were just speculating?

Maybe I just dreamed that.

Because someone giving you names is quite different than just using “context clues”.

At least to me it is.

That seems to be the way the math is mathing

Joprior already went through this and gave specific examples how the team will improve next season.

Do you not understand how much it hurt the team to not have JoJo in the NCAA tourney? What he brought to the team defensively and that his offensive game was starting to blossom as well. He’s only going to get better and better.

The team was also without Arceneaux who also was starting to blossom both defensively and offensively. He too is going to get better and better as next season goes along.

Roberts was hurt most of the year and despite that he was showing time and time again how effective he was not just as a rebounder but as a HUGE offensive threat. Basically playing on one leg he continuously broke his man down off the dribble and got huge basket after huge basket. He too was coming into his own offensively and he’s going to take it to another level next season.

Sharp took a HUGE step in his development and down the stretch (last 15 gms or so) was shooting the 3 at very high clip (.40%) and was also gaining confidence taking it to the hole. He’s going to continue to develop and he’s playing with a ton of confidence right now and that is going to grow as well.

Last yr was Cryer’s first yr in the system. He too was shooting the 3 at a very high clip the last 15 gms of the season (over .40%) and he’ll be better next season as well.

Francis continues to develop.
Walker will be healthy and thrives as an energy guy who’s also a really good rebounder.
Wilson took a HUGE step last seasin as well and he too will get better.
McFarland will bring more depth to the front court and has an offensive game as well.

Throw in two very highly rated kids in Mercy and Chase along with a highly touted PG in the portal this team is stacked and will have WAY more depth which will make them that much more lethal defensively because they won’t be worn down come the tourney because they were having to play too many minutes.

“Same team”??

Sampson’s players have a LONG track record of getting better the longer they’re in the system and with so many guys coming back you can see why everyone is excited about next season. That is everyone except you.

And you didn’t even mention Kordel who has now had a full season practicing and learning the system. Status quo with this program = massive improvement

Dumb comparing senior Shead to soph Milos. Compare Shead first two seasons at UH to Milos . And then remember Milos played his first two in the big 12 and Shead in the AAC. Also Shead was coached by Sampson. I think Milos can be great at UH. And it’s great he already is familiar with big 12.

Improve it how? Like specifically speaking can you detail for us what improvements you were looking for?

Its because Senior Shead compare to Soph is night and day physically and talent wise. Were in search of a National Championship for CKS.

Milos has size and length and can pass as a true pg. Its going to be up to his offense if UH can win a chip!!!

The addition of a healthy Tugler, McFarland and TA will help immensely. But none of those players will be look at, at creating their own offense consistently in the half court.

As long as Shead’s replacement can make key plays on close games, be a great defender, hit clutch shots, dunk over forwards/centers, make game winning shots, legit 3 point shooter, good ball distribution, can stay healthy, and have great ball control.

Then I would welcome him into the lineup.

Cryer will have to become our go to guy then.

I never post about what is told to me… and treat is as fun information but not as fact… i don’t know anyone’s sources so I can’t speak to their validity

There’s some names mentioned to me that I didn’t mention becuase there are not public context clues
