Just ate at Eugene’s this summer. Good stuff. Had a celebration dinner at Anthony’s way back before it became Danton’s. Had a reunion at Dantons, great food and service.

In 1934, Garner moved the barbecue stand to 138 W Gray where it would operate through the early 1980s.
Matt died in 1945 and his wife, Helen, ran it until the sixties. Helen Garner was 84 when she died in 1965, 20 years to the day after her husband died. Daughter Beulah and son-in-law Leroy then took over the restaurant. Beulah died in 1981, and the restaurant closed not long after that.

The Golden Bo was my go-to Chinese Restaurant. After 10pm it was like being in Hong Kong. Had one guy with a wok make food for a Chinese clientele. “Chinese food San Francisco Style”
.

Good news for Law!
