Will we see an attendance improvement this season?

Beat Tx Tech and the answer is “Yes”.

Stop being so obsessed with our attendance. You and others keep making the worst analogy possible.
Let this momentum take hold. This is the most important factor for UH to increase its attending numbers.
Like it or not we basically started from scratch…again when HCWF was hired.
What is it going to take for some to understand that our attendance issue is unlike any other program? What will?
The only thing that we can control is how we “sell” our program to others. uta, atm, teetech never had eight, yes eight momentum breakers like we did. Moreover we should be ecstatic to have that many season ticket holders.
We constantly win and the crowds will come. We already know that.
We get kicked to the curb…again when the next realignment comes? You can bet we will have a major drop in attendance. The same can ne said if the ncaa comes up again with a BS probation.
Like it or not other local Texas schools hate us because we have the best football, talents recruiting area. When you put down UH it helps other Texas and South Eastern programs. That is not so hard to effing understand.
In HCWF I trust.

Are you telling me if we beat TT on the road, that will not be enough to bring fans to see this team play at home? Or, are we back to it has to be good opponent, good weather, good time and good record?

This could be our best team in years and deserves fans in the stands. CWF hits his stride in year 3 and CW is healthy with weapons, We lost players on defense, if we are solid on D, look out.

The Washington State game was part of the season ticket package. The game was originally scheduled to be played at TDECU, and U of H agreed to move it to NRG for $$$. Also, Cougar Pride did their best to give us seats in NRG that were comparable to our seats in TDECU.

Yes

Yes, absolutely !
Go Coogs !

Why do our “fans” need their punch list fulfilled before they come to games?

The 2013 game vs BYU at NRG was because we were still building TDECU.

So, in 2025, we averaged a little more than the Rob held…let that sink in. Hopefully, we grow. Ranked starting the season, hopefully we climb…

Great question. Is it just Coog fans? This year will be exciting to watch, you never know fi our freshman phenom will get in the game or will CW direct the high powered offense solo. We have big time transfers that will make this season worth coming to TDECU.

We don’t have fans. Our fans show up, that’s the extent of our fans. You live in the mythology that here are 1000’s of UH fans floating around that need a reason to show up. Nope. They show up when an opponent is of interest.

Attendance is the one and only reason to have a program. Yes, it’s very much important. Yes, ours has room for improvement. Yes, beat Tech in Lubbock and it will.

Well said Chris, that is why we need a reboot. Dr. Khator has established a student fan base where it is cool to support UH and come to games ( that was not the case when I was there). So if we give it time, those students will become “fans”. We just lost 100 years of building a fan base like other schools in Texas.

I think a lot of our fans look for reasons not to attend, weather, time of game, day of game, etc. I am waiting for the day our fans feel it is their duty to attend games and not look for excuses. I have been waiting a long time. I am still waiting…

Those aren’t fans
