What about Oklahoma? UH played in Norman, OK in 2019 and 2024, and Oklahoma plays in Houston 2028.
Boise St. is not a P4. UH could keep Boise St. on the schedule and schedule a P4 school in 2030-31.
I mean we definitely need to get a P4 opponent on the slate but Iâm fine with playing Boise as well. Gives the slate a nice SOS boost.
With the expanded playoffs, it wonât matter as much I think you will start seeing teams back off of the big time home and homes.
P4 teams are going to be required to play a non-conference P4 opponent. In fact one of the talking points for expansion is to encourage quality non-conference match up.
I think we should book a low tier P4 and move on. Lets try to get Arkansas like the good old days.
This Fritz team couldnât beat Utah⊠Juz sayin
No oneâs been able to beat Utah
Theyâve played 1 team with a winning record. That team is not a CFP contender
You donât think theyâre going to make the CFP?
The team they beat with a winning record is not
Okay but do you think Utah is going to make the playoffs?
You said theyâll beat BYU. I say they wonât. Utah is a pretender
Who do you think will make the CFP from the Big 12?
Youâre on rapid fire tonight arenât you? Why do you care what I think about the CFP? You were talking up Utah like a world beater, they arenât. Theyâve played also rans
It seemed like you had strong opinions on who is and isnât a contender to make the playoffs so I just figured Iâd ask who you liked. I gather you donât like Utah, are there any teams you do think can make it?
Pulling for BYU, Not pulling for Tech but they would be a possible #2
utah sux
Lol yah Iâd say Utah, BYU, and Arizona are the schools that I think have the best shot at grabbing an autobid. Utah and BYU are really the only schools that have a realistic at-large shot. Just donât think Tech has it in them to run the table and get to 11-1 and I donât think theyâd get at 10-2 but I could be wrong. I donât think Utahs gonna run the table. I like Arizona to beat them at home and honestly after last week maybe Cincy could do it.
If utah sneaks in the gang of 12 theyâll embarrass the conference and shat the bed just like tt did last year
It could definitely happen. The defense is legit (not quite on the level of Tech last year but still good) and can keep them in a game but theyâre gonna need Dampiers A game. Which certainly isnât a guarantee. I think any B12 team that makes it should actually be praying they get seeded somewhere between 5-8. I think hosting a first round playoff game is the best path in the playoffs. Donât really think the bye did Tech any favors and at a minimum I think it wouldâve still looked better for them to beat JMU and then lose to Oregon than to just lose.
