2022 Bracketology

Some teams get a Lot more games against Quad 1 teams…. If we got to play 10,12,14 Quad 1 games are record against Quad teams would balance out…… we have 3 games against Quad 1 teams….

Instead of being lazy, go look up the net rankings and look at all the teams in front and behind us…. You might find that every team in the top 20 has WAY more opportunities to us…… this is mostly based on conference schedules.

If we had 13-14 Quad 1 games do you really not think we would win at least 6-7 games?
If you don’t then you have know idea about UH basketball or the quality of teams around us in the rankings.

Your take is laughable.

How is it being lazy? We have a smaller sample size but we’ve failed against that sample. It’s the same standard Gonzaga and mid-majors are held to. It’s not their fault their conference doesn’t provide ample opportunity to pick up good wins but the committee can’t necessarily give them the benefit of the doubt when major teams are picking up multiple good wins.

We would have plenty of Quad 1 wins if we had the opportunity yet it’s still fair to punish us for not capitalizing on the few opportunities we’ve had.

Anyone see the Purdue-Michigan St. game just now?

Purdue is a top 2 seed.

We beat them 6 of 7 times.

I think next year we will be so good it won’t make a damn who we play in tournament……This year we need some good matchups….IMO

Not sure why there so much buying into the rhetoric. The polls say we’re a top 4 seed. The analytics say we’re at least top 4. The statistical rankings put his as a top level team. It’s only when you introduce individual opinion that we get punished.

We’re literally projected as the # 17/18 overall seed at the moment and well positioned to get a Top 4 seed. I wouldn’t call that being punished.

If the B12 move happened next season instead of 2023, teams would be getting almost 25 Q1 games in a year if they have a somewhat challenging OOC

No point in stressing yourselves out arguing about whether UH should be a 4 seed or a 5 seed. There are much bigger hills to die on.

Nothing we can do about it, like some have said. Arkansas, who was like a 6 seed entering today, got Kentucky on their home court and beat them.

Arkansas will move up.

We’re gonna need some losses by Texas, Alabama, Ohio State, UCLA, down the stretch to get a high seed, a 4 seed.

From now until selection Sunday we’re in a 4 seed to 6 seed range.

2018 season, we had a good team too. And we were a 6 seed. Thats how it goes if youre in the American Conference

After yesterday… ALL BETS ARE OFF!!!

ANY TEAM CAN WIN THIS YEAR… GO COOGS!

Has us as a high 5 so need Ohio State to lose and we should get a bit closer to a 4

They lost

So, the move up to a higher seed…. After all, they are in the big10.

Ohio State got bombed by a team rated similarly as Wichita/Tulane.

We would free fall if we lost by 15 at Tulane.

Not very high on another Miller, Archie. Not exactly a producer of overachieving teams

I can’t believe they have its as a 5 seed. Should be lower-4 or 3.

Good start with Ohio State losing to a bad Maryland

*UCONN, Texas, Alabama and UCLA

Those 4ish, hoping they trip up down the stretch

Looking at BracketMatrix, the 1,2 and 3 seed teams, those teams deserve a higher seed than UH.

4 seed thru 6 seed. Thats our range. Those are good teams too. So to get a 4 seed, UH might have to win out. @Memphis and the Conference tournament.

No matter the seed, its been a fun, memorable season. Proud of this team
