Reminds me of our organization…we had starters that are in pro ball and D1 starters but when times got tight we could always turn to Mr Reliable. FB was maybe 83 but his bread and butter was knuckleball. It was always joy to watch him work, true pitcher.

I read a story on the kid…. Said the Dad played pro ball( could have just been minors).
He was not hurt as far as I could see. The article said he topped out at 85……apparently he did well against Tennessee in relief earlier in the year but his next few outings were no bueno.
It said the crowd was chanting his name and when he came out from the dugout the place erupted….

TCU-A&M took over an hour to play last night’s 7th inning. The game started at 7 pm and lasted over 5 hours with no extra innings.
Ah, that’s the hook. 
I think every pitching staff needs a couple of guys like that, but there’s usually no room with all of the 90+ chunkers taking up space.
