2023 Volleyball schedule rocks

I would make a joke about us not being in Kansas anymore, referring to leaving the AAC, but in this case we are in Kansas lol

Hey now, you forgot about our 3-0 loss in ladies soccer last week to Tech. The good news is two of those sports are progressing nicely. I’ll let you guess which one isn’t.

BYU is really good. They hosted Baylor last night. BYU won in three sets (by 8, 8 and 10).

Coogs play a sensational 1st set and beat Kansas, at Kansas, (#19 ranked Kansas) 25 -20.

Kansas claws 2nd set, 25 - 22.

Coogs win an extremely close, hard fought 3rd set 25 - 23.

My + goes minus at the worst times. Anyway apparently a 5th set to decide the match is underway.

Tough loss. 15 - 11 in the 5th. Kansas again tomorrow before team can return home.

Gametime in 1 hour, 3 pm our time. On the +. That may conflict with football, but I am watching the volleyballers.

Tough first set to lose. Coogs led 20 - 17, but then lose 25 - 22. Oooof.

Another tough set. KU wins 25-21.

That is that. The Haystacks were too tough in Lawrence. 25 - 21.

Meanwhile. UT took both games in Austin from BYU.

Last edit. Coogs may have had some tough sledding on this road trip, but I never felt embarrassed.

Coogs will have the FB game under control by then. :sunglasses:

Will drop out of top 25 now with these losses

True. However i am hoping the " good loss" phenomenon that applies to the power conferences kicks in and we can put things together for a stretch run.

We had our chances in the first game but fell short, unfortunately.

West Virginia in town for a 7 pm start. On ESPN+. WVU has struggled coming in with a 5 -7 record I believe.

Coogs need a couple of wins this weekend

Set 2. 25- 16 Coogs. Now up 2-0 in sets.

Straight set win, 25 -20 in 3rd.

First set to the Coogs, 25-14.

I just turned the game on. Don’t want to jinx it but this is a serious mismatch. WVU coach sitting on the bench shaking his head.

Coogs volleyball gonna get their first Big 12 win tonight.

Waiting for this set to end. Gotta run–already late.

Leaving it to you, Timmy, to bring this one home.

25-16 Coogs win second set.

Error filled third set for the Coogs so far. WVU up 7-6. Sloppy. They have relaxed against an overmatched opponent.

Coogs now leading 22-18 in the 3rd. Can’t pull away from WVU.

A couple of quick notes:

tomorrow's game v. WVU is in the afternoon 3pm also on the plus .

Next week #8 and league leading (actually tied) UT visits FC.

Also, too, apparently the good loss phenomenon does apply now that we are in Big 12. Coogs ranked # 21.
