Sadly, I think CDH is around another year, as the school admin just don’t want to spend the money. Jimbo getting fired doesn’t help; the payout he is set to receive is getting a lot of negative press. Now, people are demanding that Congress get involved.
I think more schools are going to stick with coaches unless they can get some rich benefactor to eat the entire contract.
I think he’s back 1 more yr too.
I really hope Pez tells him to get new coordinators.
I like smith’s running ability some but he throws a lot of passes at the wr’s knees and can’t throw accurately down field. Not sure if the downfield stuff is his fault or wrs or both. Golden is hurt.
Pez and Dana really need to fix this bc I too think Dana is back 1 more yr bc I also don’t think we eat 14 mil unless Tillman can talk to Dana about less money.
Yrs ago maggard forced a coach to get a new coordinator. Pez needs to step up like that.
I’m starting to believe Dana sticks around too. It seems like if he was gonna be fired, it would have already happened. At this stage, we are getting too late a start. A lot of firings have already occured. But I firmly believe a whole new defensive staff has to be brought in. That’s a lot cheaper than dumping Dana at this time.
If Dana is back next year with Smith at QB I can’t imagine my level of don’t give an F. I’ll still buy my tickets and show up, but I don’t think I’ll smile the entire season.
It would be cool if THIS guy committed to UH, Class of 2025.

Dana wont be around unless he wins the next 2 games… If he has a losing record, he WILL be fired, the administration has publicly said so…he has to win 6…That was told to him before the season and repeated after the Cincy loss…First thing Dana says in the Baylor post game conference is “One down, 2 to go…” He KNOWS what he has to do…
Is this what Dana recruiting has come to? Hoping 15 cast-offs that’s couldn’t play elsewhere come to UH at the wire? What a disaster.
We havent gotten a commit since June…Dana should be fired for that alone! What a combination of laziness and incompetence…
Sadly this is what is happening across the college football landscape. Why go through the time and effort it takes to recruit HS players when they can be stolen by a higher bidder, and there will always be a higher bidder. I just see how this benefits anybody in the long-term
But 100 school are doing it better in the same recruiting universe we are in.

Are you awake or not? He has not had a good portal recruiting track so far. Nothing leads me to believe that he will.
What makes some of you believe that he will? I see no evidence of that. I surely hope I am wrong but facts are facts.

By what you see on the field, I’d say.
Transfers count in the overall rankings. His plan is to portal and juco to fill the roster. Next week should start the madness. Doubtful we fill our OL, DL and LB holes.
For reference, this was where we ended up last year.
Last week, The Athletic’s recruiting podcast said only KU, K State. Oregon St and Tulane were CFP ranked and have 2024 recruiting rankings outside of the Top 50.
If someone posted a top 100 recruiting ranking, we would be labeled “Unranked” or “Others Receiving Votes”
Sellers has said he is no fan of how 247 ranks transfers - very inconsistent, often not very accurate
