Notre Dame is the crux of the CFP’s issues.
Even if Notre Dame doesn’t make it into the CFP, they are still affecting the CFP (Miami).
Thus it completely disrupts the entire system

Is that confirmed? If so, not bad.
Yes.
Well, I reckon we’ll likely get Mizzou or LSU. Assuming we’re in the Texas Bowl.
I really hope its LSU.
Would get massive ratings
You already know the answer.

*Houston vs. LSU
Because that’s what ESPN wanted. It’s really simple.
Got my tickets! Sec 349 Row B Seats 1 & 2. I’ve got a date with a very pretty much younger woman. I’m taking my daughter who was a Cougar Doll. ![]()
Baylor declined a bowl invite. They’re not even losing their coach
But they weren’t bowl eligible, so I could see them having already shut things down.
Texas Tech will earn $8M minimum for the Big 12.
There’s at least $116 million in CFP prize payouts up for grabs for conferences, depending on how far their schools get. The payouts are as follows:
- Making the CFP: $4 million (12 teams)
- Advancing to the quarterfinals: $4 million (8 teams)
- Advancing to the semifinals: $6 million (4 teams)
- Advancing to the title game: $6 million (2 teams)
As I understand it, that money is actually paid to the conference, which decides how to allocate it.
Correct.
This guy is exactly right. The bowl system has become the NIT of college football. Everyone wants to be in the playoffs or just get ready for next year.
Bowl game opt outs: Notre Dame, Baylor, Kansas State, Iowa State
