They absolutely do sir.

Did the scout(s) say that if he continues to improve his outside shot that he could sneak into the first round?

Or not that specific?

And yeah, facts tend to get in the way on this board quite a bit.

apparently you don’t know the difference between fact and opinion.

Givony’s own mock draft he did in November doesn’t have him drafted. And what makes his opinion the only one that matters? I could link 4-5 media outlets that have a different opinion on it as well.

It doesnt become a fact until next June and he actually does or does not get drafted, until then its ALL opinion.

also the very next paragraph Givony says Ace Baily has something to prove lol hes a top 3 pick he doesnt have anything to prove, but i guess he is entitled to his OPINION

Apparently you don’t comprehend very well
nobody said anything rude to you
.not sure why your panties are in a wad.

And you said “ in FACT, as of today there are zero mock drafts out there that has him in the top 60 prospects.”

And the article is about guys who have had their stock RISE since the season started
.

He has him 25-50

and it’s now December and I’m fairly sure it comes after November
So it looks like he has been impressed with JoJo since the season began
.huhđŸ€”

Anything else basketball savant? Perhaps more of your top notch “opinions “ ? :joy:

I think Jojo tests the waters but comes back after receiving an evaluation. He’s obviously got NBA measurables and the ability to defend 1-5 is a major plus but I think at best this year he’d be a late 2nd rounder. He could always make a major jump during the course of the season and move into the late 1st round range which if he does, then ofc he should go out. And he may be a guy that just doesn’t really want to mess around with college anymore than he has to, and decide to go out early even without a guaranteed deal. But in my eyes he’s a 3 year guy.

The injury last year might also affect his decision.

That’s fair. Though I think that sort of thing would’ve been a big factor pre NIL. Like I say if he can get a late 1st round and even into the early 2nd round, projection then he go. I mean Shead’s making almost 2 million a year right? You don’t turn that down. I just don’t think that’s where he is. Would love to see him prove me wrong though because that means he stays healthy and has a big year.

You absolutely turn that down if you have room to grow and can get into a higher draft stock.

The reality is though that, You absolutely dont have room to grow and get a higher draft stock. The NBA grades age higher than anything else.

The Athletic has Jojo going #30 currently

Well that’s not reality but yes age can play a role.

I have a friend who works analytics for the TWolves. Age is the #1 weighted factor in their algorithm. I doubt they are alone in that.

As he told me, men do the most physical growth between 17 and 24. Teams arent impressed with a 22 year old doing well against 18 year olds, but teams are if an 18 year old is doing well against 22 year olds.

I.e. you cant just improve in another college year to prove something, you have to make an unexpected jump.

I will be willing to bet he will climb the draft board. If he returns I think it will be substantial because his offensive growth at all three levels will be so much better.

If he starts to show more of that this season his stock will still rise from now to then.

That’s not possible @ehog

I read on this board he is ranked in the 90’s!

I would like to see you turn down a guaranteed 2 million dollars lol, to come back and risk injury and with the hopes of getting a higher draft pick. Now if Shead could get 2 million NIL to come back to Houston and try why hell yes I could see it, plus Sheads age was playing a role he was considered old compared to other draftees

Nah fam, this isnt accurate for Jamal

With today’s NIL deals if you believe there’s a chance to improve positioning then the cost is off set to a degree while the reward may be an entirely different level.

*Jojo - a potential 1st rounder. Why is that hard to believe? So many late 1st rounders get drafted on potential

Shead- improving his draft stock w/ another yr. Doubt it.

Him & Tyler Kolek were both high 2nd round picks.

1st team all american, defensive player of the year. Drop the mic, and turn pro. With another yr, he wouldn’t have vaulted into the 1st round

6’1" guard, with an average offensive game. What NBA GM is giving 4 yrs guaranteed for that(1st rd cotract)

Are you responding to me? If so I have no idea how any of that is relative to what I have said.
