Rice baseball definitely ain’t what it used to be.

Except that:

a) we were never on quite the same level as Rice at their peak during my lifetime, AND

b) Rice has arguably fallen even further.

That is a horrible sports mentality. If you play sports, and you aren’t interested in playing the elite teams because you might get your ass kicked, then you need to get out of the game.

The other question I have is why in the hell are we going on the road to play UTA? That is a really weird decision. We shouldn’t be going on the road to play WAC teams.

So that it will be a Quad 1 win.

Damn UTA broadcast is screwed up. Cant watch.

5-4 UTA, Bottom of the 4th.

Well than I’m glad the broadcast is screwed up.

Ryan Dollar was horrible today. He made it through a 1/3 of an inning. That’s two really bad starts.

Geez. He faced 7 batters giving up 3 hits and walking 3. And that’s right after we put up a three spot to start the game. He has no business throwing on Friday nights right now.

Whitting underestimated his opponent. Bad scouting and scheduling. . :sunglasses:

7-4 uta after 6

So the UTA starter didn’t make it out of the first and they brought in a guy with nearly a 17 era that had allowed 9 hits and 3 walks in 2 2/3 innings and he proceeds to lock us down for 1 run in 5 2/3. We’re just a terrible hitting team with only one starter batting over .250 and a team average of .212. We might not score a run in conference play.

So y’all now know we are terrible again this year, this cements it losing to UTA lmao, fire him now

Haven’t lost yet, 7-4 after 8. Give it time.

We lost to UTA. I wish I could say I’m shocked, but I’m used to it.

I thought hitting was supposed to be the strength of the club?

Aren’t we 0-3 on Fridays?

Power Conferences get rewarded for losing and that’s why they get so many bids to the NCAA Regionals every year.

Took the Friday game from Cal. We’re 1-0 when Dollar makes it out of the 1st.
