Yes, this should be a really good measuring stick……Rice is an elite squad as you mentioned….a victory tonight proves that UH should be in the top 2 or 3 of conference.
You need to just flush the loss to UTRGV….they are clearly on another level.

Yea, i saw that Sir. Its ok , im just being honest w some posters that might Not see through thgs. Again jmo, the constant sarcasm when someone tries to put positive spin on game or season, is tiring when these Kids are trying their best in UH uniform.

After watching Rice dominate UH in baseball all of those years, I love seeing our baseball team doing well against them these days.

Rice has given up 70 runs in last five games. That’s 14 runs per game. Jose Cruz Jr. isn’t long for this job.

I didn’t even know we played tonight until my brother texted me the score. Wasn’t expecting a back-to-back in the middle of the week. The good news is Lonesome Dove was on so I had something to watch.

I watched a majority of the game on ESPN+.
I am glad we got won, and we certainly need to beat the people we are capable of beating.
But good gosh.
Rice really sucks this year. Their defensive play was terrible, their pitching was poor, and for a big chunk of the game, they could barely buy a hit.
I remember Rice going to more than 20 straight tourneys, making seven CWSes, and winning a natty during my adult life.
But in recent years….they haven’t even looked like a halfway decent D1 program.
If we don’t sweep this season’s series, then there’s something seriously wrong.
