Wayne Graham was irreplaceable + Rice made a couple of really stupid HC decisions = Rice really sucks since the Graham era, not just this year.

Not going to keep it going. But If you donât thk the personal attacks use to be regular occurrence on here b4 new Owner took over, your eyes were closed .
And donât make it such a big deal someone not liking you constantly putting down the Baseball program. You can continue your sarcasm⊠i donât control that. But donât be so sensitive if someone calls it out.

That was nice of admin to let him do that instead of firing him.

So i can finish the small flare up that Pollard & I had, Iâll make it quick.
Reflecting back on it, i should have just DM him n not put it here for everyone to see. My apologies to him & to the Board for reacting as i did in an Open setting. i got frustrated w what I already brought up n reacted openly, when there were other ways to go abt it. He & I have had our differences in past⊠both very opiniated, but good news we had already spent time in Private setting to make it right and had moved frwd so we could both continue to contribute on here n not create unwanted disturbances to other Coogfans members. My bad on taking sm step backwards, when it could have been avoided, no matter how much i didnât like certain posts that i kept seeing.
He has my word, Iâll do better next time on how I react to situations.
Appreciate all who contribute on here to make it a Fan Forum you want to participate in n hopefully give back in positive way as well.

Then donât get upset when people might call you out for being way to positive about a team that doesnât deserve it.
He should have been fired last year as well. He had some really good pitchers the last couple of years and didnât do anything with them.

Not asking you to âbite.â Just didnât make sense that you came onto the board and starting attacking someone for being âsarcastic,â when said poster had established himself as someone who is not positive about the program and relates those feelings with sarcasm. There is nothing wrong with doing it and someone having a negative opinion about the program is certainly not out of the norm. It was just an odd battle to wage.

This is TW 15th season.
Itâs horrible how far this program has fallen under his watch. I had season tickets for yrs. If the admin doesnât care about the program (and they donât) nor will I. Had a group of my friends (all Coogs) talking the other day about so many awesome memories. Now itâs beyond sad. Indifference.

Just to be clearâŠ.i donât think the team will make the tournamentâŠ.i just feel like the bats are good enough to win more than 4 conference games.
If they win say, 4 more conference games that gets you to 26 and 30.
There are a few draftable guys on this teamâŠ.not enough to carry the team but a few, none the less.

Full circle here: Larry McMurtry went to rice, so either way youâre knee deep.
His book âAll My Friends are Going to be Strangersâ is a fictionalized summary of his days at Rice, in which he gets rather bored and depressed, gets heartbroken, drops out and takes off for the Bay Area.
Itâs a H-town version of Catcher in the Rye, and I think actually better.
