Exactly.

One team drives a few miles down the road and gets a great RPI game.

I really do not understand your way of thinking.

You didn’t want us to play the UT or Oregon St. Games because you said something like the team would get nothing out of losing and it would be demoralising to them.

Now you want to beat Rice “a bunch” to catch up in the overall series….

Beating a team one time or several times when they are down doesn’t really do anything for you. Especially when the SOS and RPI are having a negative impact.

OK. Settle down. Getting crushed by UT does nothing for the team except expose how bad they are (hopefully they would not have gotten crushed). The converse of course is UH crushing Grambling which does nothing to show where we are as a team. Rice is down and there is nothing we can do about it except tighten up the all-time series record as they on paper have owned us.
Overall, I agree with you I think, that UH will be a little better this season than last, but, once B12 starts, I don’t see us going anywhere at the end of the season.

Rice looked like they don’t even practice… Jr needs to get Cheo on the bench…

Settle down?

Whatever….i simply said I didn’t understand where you were coming from….

I will not respond to you anymore….there is no point in trying to make you understand how fundamentally wrong you are in getting beat badly by someone….

If they were 8 year old kids then yes, getting drummed by the other team does nothing for you because there is a 99.9% chance it is purely a talent disparity.

But 19-23 year olds is a different animal….they understand having pride and that you can lose by 15 one day and beat the same team the next.

No.
Facing the much better pitching of Texas and OR Ste
regardless of score is a big something.

UH hitters have had it easy so far. That ends next week.

UH Stands w the friends & family crowd tonight.

Lugo at 3d. McG at 2nd.
McG w some range right away.

He has been, as has Berkman, according to the Rice message board. At least for the tournament at the Daiken Park. Not that it really matters.

They looked like a bad high school team throwing the ball all over the place…

Yeah, Berkman hasn’t really shown much promise on the coaching side of things.

Yale beat Rice 8-4 on Wayne Graham Night at Reckling Park.

Our guys are having some nice BP against Grambling pitching tonight.

UH has hit two grand slams. The commentators couldn’t find the last time we did that in one game in the record book.

I’m going to guess Antione Jean gets the start on Sunday

Does it even matter?

I would say yes. IMO probably should be in the weekend rotation moving forward

I just meant in the sense of it would not matter who pitched it should still be a blowout win.

But agreed, Jean should be a weekend starter.

Wish I could say this game shows me potential, but Grambling St. has given up 12.5 runs per game this year.

I would say if we don’t pound them all the games we should be worried.

Their recruiting fell off a cliff. They were signing kids that playing D1 Baseball was a big stretch

Their fielding (especially) and pitching definitely did NOT look like D1 level.
