Sure seems like it, for most of the league. There are two schools that turn a substantial profit, and a couple right at the break even point, but most of the league is pretty badly in the red.
This is from 2016, but I canāt find anything more recent.

You took the time to look all of that up to post in this silly conversation?
Sheesh.
And college baseball has grown pretty progressively so ten year old data is not useful.
Quick exampleā¦ā¦Tennesseeās program has grown in popularity over the years and does very well.
This is about to enter Pesik territory so Iām out.

Itās one sentence of googling. Itās like the first result for āSEC Baseball net revenue.ā
Those numbers are also kind of hard to dig into, because programs handle donations and other types of revenues differently.

I did a Google Search.
Even in the SEC, only a few baseball programs made a profit, so no.
In the SEC, and pretty much everywhere, college baseball is generally not a revenue sport.
During the COVID pandemic, several D1 college baseball programs folded.
I donāt think any schools dropped baseball because of the pandemic. Most of the Ivy League teams not playing in 2021 (or they just didnāt play enough games to show up in the rankings) accounts for the number of teams dropping to 293 in 2021 from 299 in 2019. 2025 is at an all-time high with 307 D1BB programs.

And itās an argument about something irrelevant to whether UH should apply the resources to get the baseball program back where it should be.
Discussions about uniform combos matter more, and they donāt matter.

Some dropped it DURING the pandemic though.
See here.
Quote: During the pandemic alone, Boise State, Furman, North Carolina Central, La Salle and Chicago State all dropped the sport.

And how many softball or WBB turn a profit? None, and it is not even close.
They are having to drop the programs because of Title IX. If it wasnāt Title IX, there would be very few womenās sports.

I think the āFutures Leagueā would say as long as he has 11 hours of rest, he is good to go.
