2026 Big 12 conference

Same way you didn’t know Fred Warner is a blue cougar…

Just for brand recognition I would bet they are top 5 in the conference. Toothless hillbillies and all

Utah is infamous for messing with their accounting to pull all revenue they can on football. No surprise they look better here than they were in the previous athletic department rankings.

Kansas isn’t 14th either. The list is fiction.

Since we were talking Taysom. Start, cut, bench, based on college.

Zach Wilson
J Hall
Taysom Hill

(As of today the three best QBs under Sitake)

Mine is controvesial:

Start: J Hall
Bench: Taysom
Cut: Wilson

Yeah, they have A LOT of casuals w/ no affiliation to the university. Probably not a shocking statement. And their capacity fill numbers really reflect that since joining the b12 and mostly struggling…as opposed to the legacy state schools, where we are usually the 2nd show in town so we have more ride or dies.

I saw a video where this guy was touring literally the furthest away part of West Virginia from Morgantown because he wanted to see what it’s really like (really poor btw). He interviewed a guy who had a WVU logo tattooed on his arm and asked about the Mountaineers team.

The guy was legitimately confused for a minute like he didnt understand the question, but then he responded that he doesn’t really watch sports. His local “tour guide” stepped in and explained something to the effect of “No, you gotta understand, here in West Virgina people use that as a logo to represent the whole state, to show pride in being a West Virginian. It doesn’t mean the University.”

Which is cute and all. But when your school creates a nationally recognized logo that ppl actually wanna get tattooed on their body, this isn’t exactly what you’re going for from an actual value creation standpoint.

Yeah given what I know about Utah and Kansas alone, I don’t trust this at all. But this is the info EP was certainly referencing tech fans talking about.

Oh wow! Vikings fans are surely going to be perplexed hearing this.

Correct.

Yeah probably. I can agree with that. They are the OG ‘struggling since joining the Big 12’ brand tho.

They walked so Justin’s Bcats could run!

They’ve had a modest handful of one-off blips of notable relative goodness in both major sports combined since 2011, but they’ve mostly been riding the struggle bus.

It’s either not fair to judge their brand value accordingly, or now adjustment is long overdue, because of it. You could definitely make a case for either.

Yep… watched him in person at a great game at Reliant where he beat John O-:corn:

BYU
Utah
Arizona
Kansas
Colorado

Are all definitely bigger brands imo…

I’m not sure how to determine it, though…

I disagree

This sounds similar to people from Houston that get the Astros logo tatted on them but don’t actually watch the Stros…

So, they’re not actually getting the “brand” of the university or team tatted on them as much as they’re getting the “brand” of the state, or city, tatted on them…

Doesn’t matter for merchandise sales, but for eyeballs on games/butts in seats it probably doesn’t accurately represent the size of the fan base just because you see a bunch of people wearing their logos… whether that be on their clothes or their bodies…

Yes, that is the chart they were having problems with.

Great, The B12 has something in common with drunken bad decision-makers.

That’s pretty much the universal reaction on ISU forum. It’s honestly, not as bad as we thought.
