2026 recruiting, 2026 roster - eligibility

Oh… I agree he’s definitely shown lots of potential.

Thought he looked like a gifted offensive talent before the conference. I am not going to judge cold end of the game performances based on shots going in.

It’s a different mindset and comfortability with the known vs unknown. Mercy knew his leash was short and could not make alot of mistakes. That’s exactly how you make mistakes. With more familiarity in the system and guaranteed opportunities he will play better. Looking forward to seeing Cougars score a 100 points in games next year. More excited about the second unit than first. Second team will give first team rest and take the pressure off. Coach seems to learn from playing new style rosters that give him trouble. Like Miami squad ,Duke squad and Florida depth squad. Now he has a roster full of ballers.

Considered a second round pick. Could another year get him in the first?

It said “multiple teams consider Sharp as a possible 2nd round pick”

……it kinda reads like a HS kid wrote it.

Since this is the roster thread for next year and it’s pretty busy I’ll mention that Cenac is playing on USA network right now at the Nike hoops summit.

Oh this kind of post should be in the “2025-2026 Starting 5 and Rotation” thread.

Didn’t you get the instruction memorandum? :upside_down_face:

Hopefully I don’t get this entire thread merged

Dybansta might look even better than Flagg when he gets put into BYU’s system in November :skull:

Xfinity has it on demand so I’m able to rewatch from the beginning. Dybantsa had a very active and impressive start to the game.

Cenac didn’t start, but I’m in the 2nd quarter and just watched a sequence where:

  1. Cenac gets the ball in the corner, dribbles to the paint, gets caught in the air jump passing to the other corner and turns it over leading to a fast break the other way.
  2. He proceeds to run down said fast break and gets a chase down block (at the top of the square above the rim).
  3. Comes down the court, posts up and hits a turnaround midrange fadeaway.
  4. Deflects the ball out of bounds on defense the next possession.
  5. Gets subbed out.

Kid’s gonna be really good for the coogs.

Edit: judging from past years it looks like the full game will get posted on YouTube.

Depends how effective his shooting numbers are. Hell put stats up tho. Hes a bit more crafty than explosive on offense.

That’s a tall order… I’m trying to think of a freshman over the past decade that has looked better than Flagg to me…

Still thinking…

We call him Mercy brick Miller for a reason joking around because he seemed to go 0-something in his last game he played. His defense got better at the end but his offense suffered. Its not like it was a pressure cooker, it was a blowout win against an over matched 16 seed for UH with game in hand and not many contested shots.

Better clarify it by saying true freshman because theyll be some nerd here saying some random guy had similar if not better stats when well i knew what you meant.

stats wise Zion and Trae young had better stats but Cooper
might have had a bigger impact.

Jahlil Okafor had nice stats and led his team to a national title

Last decade!!! But Okafor had suspect defense. Melo was better.

Mercy was 0 for Big 12 wasn’t he? Did he ever get a bucket in Big 12 play?
