2026 Recruiting

Hell no. Why would he want to transfer back to a staff that forced him out? TT believes in him and is actually developing him.

There’s a reason why they’re about to go to the playoffs while we’re losing to West Virginia and TCU.

There are many similar frustration and heartbreaking stories like MHP that are never made public. If it happens to a highly touted high school player like MHP, imagine what it is like for 3 stars and below.

I love that MHP and his family dealt with this set back by still believing in MHP, moving on, not burning any bridges on the way out, and working hard to achieve MHP’s dream at Texas Tech. After knowing that MHP had to course correct his college career due to injury and found a new home, I find it very easy to root for his success.

I find it unusual that UH commit Jayden Warren attended the TCU/UH game, wearing UH gear, and the next day flips to Texas A&M.

What are you implying? I think his mind was made up the moment he attended his AM visit. Unless something happened during his UH visit. Maybe he didn’t like the lack of concessions on the 300 level

I’m sure he already had his mind made up to flip and was getting one last ride

100% agree with you. He flipped? IMO that talks about his character. I do not want players like him on my SQUAD

Escalators, man. Escalators.

And I bet he was mad that the funnel cake place was closed.

Yes it’s starting to become a common trend in college football.

Recruiting is the lifeblood of any program.

Am excited to see how it all works out.

Joining The Big 12 has improved our recruiting.

Trez Davis just decommitted from Tulane.

Seems like it’s Washington or UH as most likely to land him.

lol, I’m sure money and going to the third ranked team had nothing to do with it.
We averaged 32k after being in the dumpster a few years.
Regardless, losing a kid to an SEC school happens.
Fritz will continue to chip away and one day sooner than later we will have a much improved OL and will be able to run the ball as designed.
We have the No.1 quarterback in the country coming in and he knows all about our fans.
Yet he still picked us!

It’s like that compared to most G5 teams.

Maybe there was a final NIL negotiation with us while he was here. Could have wanted to see if we’d match or beat A&M (we didn’t) and that’s when he finalized his decision.

We just don’t have the NIL money to compete against the A&M or Texas for recruits. That will never change.

I mean, if I were a 17 year-old elite athlete, playing in front of 100k+ fans every Saturday would be enticing to me, too. If that’s important to ‘em, we don’t really have a chance, even if we were filling the stadium.

Hopefully Henderson can convince Davis to commit to UH.

I don’t think you have to be playing in front of 100k+ fans every Saturday, but a full stadium of whatever size with loud emphatic fans makes a difference.

Davis and Groce would put UH in the top 25

We are never going to win a fanbase battle against Aggie… no Big12 school will, their average home attendance is 106,159 this season, they are having a magical year. It is also the reason Tech has to overpay to get guys to get them away from the Bluebloods, having $5 tickets and free parking does not fix that. They just have to recruit to our strengths.

And here… we… go…
