2026 Recruiting

Also Nebraska used to do a farm scholarship for walk ons along with taking a lot of low quality academic ones called partial qualifiers. Texas forced them to stop taking partial qualifiers and it’s one of the reasons Nebraska left the big12.

Nebraska like you said and these 2 had Nebraska with about 3 advantages over others plus a coach who stayed decades like BY.

I don’t think Nebraska will ever come back big time unless they find a big booster like tech.

More OLs the better, that’s where it starts.

I was in Lincoln a few years after the Big 12 was formed. Nebraska fans told me they thought Colorado fans were the worst until UT joined the conference.

OT: Baylor lost another commitment

Jordan Clay flips to Washington

Baylor only has (13) commits for 2026 class. Ouch

“He started one game in his High School career”

What an odd statement.

Baylor’s feelings are hurt but for context, the kid is 6’7 and 280 lbs and had some injuries/new to football

Hasn’t helped them thus far.

We’ll see.

Do we expect Trez to announce in the early signing period?

Per JD on Twitter:
“Houston billionaire Tilman Fertitta’s son, Patrick Fertitta, appointed to UH System board”

I wonder if that helps us with NIL in any way. Although I supposed this affiliation prevents him from funding our NIL.

Does Patrick like UH as much as his dad supposedly does?

I’m not sure that this is a thing. I know it’s been posted on here, but I can’t think of any laws or ethical norms donation to NIL by a board member would violate.

I’m guessing he has some regard for UH. He accepted the appointment (which, of course, means that he or his father requested the appointment).

What do you mean “supposedly”? Do you really question the man who has donated probably over $100 Million to the University of Houston?
