Weigman needs to get on the phone with some of his old Houston area and Texas relationships.
I loved that boogie and cw connection. Old 7 on 7 buddies.

The thing is, Weigman likely has NFL dreams, and I’m not so sure he wants to take the risk of competing for QB1 with Keisean. Not saying that he wouldn’t win the competition, but it’s a risk.
I also don’t think Keisean intends to redshirt.
If the Gods were watching over UH Football, I would love the scenario where Weigman stays one more year and Keisean waits in line, but I just don’t see that being a reality otherwise Keisean would have committed to a blue blood.
Weigman will start, Henderson will redshirt, but get some gametime.
HCWF post game presser:
Listen to his comments toward Conner and the “culture” he is building. It points to Conner coming back.
That’s the dream scenario, but I think Keisean wants to compete for the starting job.
When a 5 star QB commits to a school like UH, it’s not really up to the coach in that scenario otherwise they have the choice of going somewhere else (to Bama, Ohio State, etc. etc.)
IMO, just doesn’t seem like CWF would tell Connor he has to compete for the job next season. He is a would be a senior with a healthy 9-10 win season under his belt.
Coach speak.
He has to say that.
I agree.
I don’t think CWF is a BSer.
That being said, Weigman also cost us games like WVU.
We always remember the highs and forget the lows. Just about every game this season there are users here wanting to bench Weigman for Carlisle lol
Who will be the Houston starting Quarterback next season?
Disagree, going from H.S. play to FBS DIV 1 Power four play is a major step up. This is no different for Keisean. Keisean has repeatedly said why he is coming here. It is about his NFL career and who prepares him the best for it. HCWF is that man. Conner will start unless he gets injured.
I’ll vote for Connor.
That being said - I don’t think the question is “Who should be the starter?”
The question really should be “Should we let KH and CW compete for QB1?”
If Weigman loses that battle, then he’s riding bench for his final year of eligibility, thus hurting his NFL prospects. → This is the issue (if you’re CW)
Like I said,
The dream scenario is Weigman QB1 and KH redshirts.
I hope it happens, but I doubt that KH wants to sit out a year. I think he wants to ball right out the gate.
Guys we’re about to have two great QBs on this roster. No matter what happens, this is a good problem to have. Considering what we went through after Tune left
.
Keisean can certainly push Weigman for the job.
But going into the off season, Weigman has a significant lead for the job
They dont start at equal footing.
I’m at the point where I truly think you WANT us to fail.
There has been precedence for this stuff before.
Chris Leak started while Tim Tebow ran packages. Quinn Ewers started while Arch Manning ran packages.
Sean Glennon started while Tyrod Taylor ran packages
Tyrone Swoopes started while Jerrod Heard ran packages
Cardale Jones started while JT Barrett ran packages
Weigman will start and Keisean will run packages
It’s good if you’re a blue blood, where QB depth at the elite level is expected.
I think both CW and KH both want to be QB1 in 2026.
If CW was a sophomore or junior, then there would be less anxiety of the situation. If CW has to compete, it’s a risk for his sake.
That’s all I’m saying.
You’re comparing blue blood schools (that year after year have elite QB depth) to a school like UH who has never had elite QB depth.
We either get 5 year QBs that transfer here, or we build 2 or 3 star QBs into QB1.
We’ve never had a top 10 QB in the FBS era that commited as a Freshman. It adds a completely different dynamic.
In what way do I want UH to fail?
This.
Connor is the starter until he’s beaten out, which will not happen unless he’s injured. Fritz is going to reward CW’s loyalty. Unless something happens physically to limit CW. That’s the only way CW doesn’t start next year
Connor has been a good leader, proven toughness and shown he can make it through a season. His career is back on track and UH has unleashed his dual threat abilities. He’s essentially playing the Micheal Pratt role for Fritz. I am super pumped about Henderson but just don’t see Fritz making a change without injury like others have said.
Why would we “throw” Keisean to the Wolves strictly on his five stars status?
Let Keisean learn the playbook first. Learning a College playbook is much harder than a H.S. one. It takes time. Let him make the transition. The DIV I FBS game is at a completely different level to H.S. The same goes for the pro level. What i truly appreciate about HCWF and Conner is that willingness to welcome in guys. We have seen it throughout the entire season. All or almost every football season “scientists” had us around four to six wins max. What has been outstanding this season is the “never quit” attitude. That happens when players keep learning on how to get better both mentally and physically. It would be a major diss service to put Keisean in that situation.
There is a “Galaxian” difference between what your god given talents can give you and translate it in live football game action. Live sports is never a video game. It it was we would be in the cfp every season and win every season.
