2026 Recruiting

Boy, things are getting bad in Wacko when a guy flips from BU to Rice.

No way a true freshman beats out an experienced veteran. I don’t care how many stars the freshman has after his name. The freshman has a lot to learn entering college ball. It should be CW1, AC2, IW3, KH RS.

Wild card is Chriss. IMO, Chriss should move down to G5, if he is set on playing QB.

With a new A.D. coming Aranda is dead man walking. He might have been told he would be retained but I am not so sure at all. Especially with these flips that indicate some changes coming…

Weigman ran the ball over 150 times this year. The with way we run him, Henderson should be ready to go in at any moment

I was hoping to see multiple TE’s with Chris as being one of them. I too think he transfers or changes position.

I like when he said he runs a disciplined practice and, “I don’t put up with any crap.”

I agree Chris; playing at Legacy, he didn’t have the same type of competition as North Shore, Katy, etc. I think every kid should redshirt if possible in order to acclimate to the college demands as well as the level of play.

The president might as well have announced they were planning to fire him next year. They said he would be retained, but they are not settling for mediocrity.

With these recruits flipping like that…

Early signing doesn’t close until Friday so curious if we can still flip some areas of need.

Wonder if Henderson doesn’t think like you?

Can we stop melting about Keisean Henderson’s role next year. We’re about to sign the #1 QB in the nation. It will figure itself out. Let’s enjoy it!

Who knows what he thinks, or any of these 17 and 18 year old kids. Obviously we posters haven’t a clue, but we can banter it about. I have a handicap in that I still look at these kids as college students and not mercenaries. But whatever happens and whomever starts next year, we will have a very good to great QB leading the pack.

I don’t know if Henderson is coming in January or waiting until after May graduation. If he does come in early and competes in spring camp, we probably should know the situation by the end of camp.

An insider said January

When recruits come early and enroll in January are they technically graduated from Highschool at that point?

Yea I don’t understand why we’re talking about Kei starting next year. I feel like that even if Weigman leaves, there’s still a good chance that we start Carlisle given his familiarity with the playbook. I would absolutely not rush Henderson. Even 5-star QB recruits don’t often start as true-freshman.

Supposedly that’s only true for “blue bloods” and not UH

I wouldn’t call either of them “great” just yet. Theres still time for them to show the ability to be “great”.

Yep
