The “don’t get caught young” philosophy of Kelvin would apply in CFB for the QB position.
Also, based on what I saw since as, his accuracy and/or velocity suffered later in the season.
Hopefully a break before the bowl will help.
CW needs to get healthy or fixed for next season.
If he was told he would be retained and then fired by a new AD, that would really be a low life move. He may not be a good HC but he would be a great DC for some team. If he were fired now, he would be in a much better position to get a good DC gig than if he were to be let go after the other HCs fill their staffs. Kiffen will need a new DC at LSU and we all know how well Aranda did there.
I agree with the don’t get caught too young bit. Let’s not forget that Weigman was also a 5 star HS recruit. An experienced QB of similar ability has an advantage over a true freshman.
It’s no difference in football than any occupation, a kid fresh out of college is not nearly as good at his job as he will be in 4 or 5 years; and it builds from there. I always said, the only way to get 20 or 30 years of experience is to do something for 20 or 30 years.
