Dude looks like a man-baby, but I’m on board. We have solid talent on D, and Fritz won’t allow a Barbay-like fiasco on that side of the ball.
I expect big things from the Coogs in 2025.

Yes, seemed like a whole bunch more qualified candidates including the Rice guy.
Rice guy ended up at Temple
I wasnt high on the Rice DC whatsoever. If we went G5 for a DC, there were PLENTY of options better Brian Smith.
The guy was highly thought of enough to become an SEC DC in his early thirties. His pedigree is off the charts. He just came from Florida which has been thought of as a dumpster fire for a few years now. Being in the midst of all that dysfunctionality makes straight-forward assessments problematic.
I think all of this together has at least earned him the benefit of a doubt until we’re able to see the results on the field.
Honestly, how many of us saw our defense being as dominant as it was this year? Now we’re experts on hiring defensive coordinators?
Still looks good getting an SEC DC, our players must have thought the same thing and decided to stay.
The biggest question I had last year was around the talent on the field, and I think the defensive coaching staff did a great job of maximizing that. Wood had a strong record of success at his last several jobs, and he had coached with Fritz at Tulane.
This hire is much different, and he’s going to be judged against a much different standard.

Napier was very familiar with how good AA is. He was a GA at Louisiana and then Napier hired him back as ILB coach after a year on Kirby Smart’s staff as defensive quality control.
2021-2022: DC/ILB Southern Miss
2020: ILB/ ULL
2019: Defensive Quality Control, UGA
2017-2018: GA Louisiana-Lafayette
2016: Assistant DL- West Georgia (D2)
That is a body molded by fast food everyday.
Well he is gonna love H-town
John Madden didn’t compete for Mr. Universe but he won a Super Bowl.
Fritz will mold Armstrong
Running on McDoubles and two Jack in the Box Tacos. A true testament to what the human body can endure.
The NUMBER ONE thing that will dramatically improve the defense is an offense that can score TOUCHDOWNS.
Before people laugh at Armstrong I suggest they take a quick look in the mirror.
Houston is no longer considered one of the fattest cities in the United States, but
When I was a young whippersnapper, I thought Jack-in-the-Box tacos was a food group.
Imao
His favorite dessert is definitely the Wendy’s Frosty.
