BIG 12 Options

They do well in the Houston market primarily because of UT. If UT bolts to the SEC, that solidifies Houston as an SEC market.

SMU has something UH doesn’t have

Plentiful of Rich donors

As long as we’re talking about a conference TCU is in, it doesn’t really help.

Big 12 recruiting will drop considerably without being able to play with UT and OU. It won’t be a P5 anymore but a P4 at most.

And where/what has that got for them? Few 4&5 stars recruits and bunch of dead hookers?

Lol. SMU is predicted to finish behind us this year.

And, they’ve never won much of anything.

This could actually be the best thing that ever happened to UH. The problem now though is all the political leverage that could be used against UT is gone. The B12 isn’t gonna care one wit what Greg Abbott and Sheila Jackson Lee think.

And TCU and Baylor aren’t beholden to the Texas Legislature like UT/ATM.

I’m loving the chaos that is the BIG 12. This is high drama unfolding before our very eyes.

Perhaps the best entertainment since Game of Thrones.

Let’s just hope the ending is better

Why?
Why would you want us to join the small…with utau and okie deserting it?
The nano second these two bail out the small…ceases to exist or is now another G5…G6.

Expect the normal verbiage from BIG12 5pm meeting.
“The conference members are working to strengthen the league for the future”.

In actuality, they are agreeing on exit fees and terms for UT/OU and remaining members are voting for expansion.

The huge pile of money associated with UT and OU’s exit fees and forfeited media rights should keep the B12 on life support for a while, right? Anyone with some ballpark estimates on how much the B12 would directly receive from the two schools leaving?

Because it would be a more regional conference that would allow us to rekindle old rivalries while also maintaining some of our current ones. There’s an outside chance that the conference would maintain its autonomous league moniker. Nowhere in the legislation that created the P5 is there anything about a conference getting the boot. There’s little doubt that unless the Big 12 saw more raids that they’d rebuild the league rather than have some schools jump to a G5 conference.

This is not good and it’s going to happen soon…this has been in the works for a while…Hate to say it but this is the beginning to the end!

If we join a reconstituted Big 12, Baylor and UH are set to create a huge rivalry in bb that both fan bases look forward to each year.

This is the end of the Big 12. They don’t see any potential replacements. The remaining schools will scatter after the Big Boy exit.

Are you new to the realignment debate? We’ve all known TX and OK were going to leave. It had to happen to trigger realignment and is the opening UH needed to maneuver.

Most of them have nowhere to go. There is no upside to going to a G5.

Well s**t, I’m a John McClain fan for the first time in my life today.

Lol. I was all ready to flame him for a predictable pro Baylor take but his comments were on point. Louisville is a head scratcher. Maybe he meant Cincy.
