Big 12 / Pac 12 / B10 Expansion Thread (Part 1)

Notre dame

No idea about the B12 part but it feels like ND will stay Indy during this TV contract cycle.

The next B10 contract after this next one should have huge streaming platforms involved. That is when ND will truly have a hard time saying no to the B10 $$$.

Seems like Cal is the Notre Dame replacement if Notre Dame declines.

If they go forward with this, which they might not.

Have to keep in mind the B1G itself probably doesn’t know at the moment and not just because of ND. Lots to figure out.

why Miami over Clemson or Louisville?

I think that the only reason he said that was to ensure that an invite remained open to ND, so that ND wouldn’t automatically write them off.

I’ll believe that the B1G will invite a non-AAU school other than ND only when I see it.

I can’t imagine their administrations would ever go for that.

I usually say the same thing, but people here tend to argue that Clemson’s dynasty is over

Don’t they already have a non AAU school in the conference?

Nebraska isn’t AAU

Clemson, Duke and Notre Dame.

If Virginia and UNC went Big 10, SEC would want Va Tech and NC St.

Yes but they were AAU when they were INVITED.

That’s the key.

Had they not been AAU at the time, then even Nebraska’s own Prez has admitted that they probably wouldn’t have gotten an invite.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again.

I will only believe that the B1G will ever INVITE a Non-AAU school other than ND when I see it.

For a million times, Neb was AAU when invited to B10. They lost the AAU status while being a member of B10.

Georgia Tech is a prestigious AAU school too, I don’t see them getting left out

Y’all hating on mhver3 but he’s been right multiple times.

I don’t see any of y’all being right. Commish of B10 killed PAC today. Oregon is going MWC to die and holding out for the pretty girl that said she’s almost broken up with her bf and then it’s his turn.

Yes, but they have never INVITED one.

And I don’t believe that they ever will unless it’s ND.

What? Nothing official has taken place

If Clemson believe that Dabo will leave for a Bama as soon as Saban retired, they should do everything they can to get into SEC before 2036.

I don’t see Dabo going to Alabama. Next move for Dabo is NFL

In my opinion Warren is serving notice. There’s no way any of the 4 being considered by BIG will sign a GOR. Therefore ESPN’s 32 million per school is of the table.
Warren is softening the blow before making the call to PAC 12 commissioner.
The 4 corners, OSU, and WSU plus 6 G5’s will send the PAC into irrelevance.
I’d be on the phone to B12 if I were any of the 4 corners!

Query: what will Wilner’s reaction to this be?

AND

Will he soon be out of work with no conference to be the pundit for any longer?

He’s good at his job. He won’t be out of work long. If at all.
