I suspect BYU will be much higher than this come the start of the season
Louisville and UCLA are too high, we are comically high at 10 (way too many questions marks to be that high), and BYU is comically low. Drop Louisville and UCLA about 10 spots and swap us and BYU and it’s probably is fairly close.
We were a top 5 preseason team last year, got bounced in the 2nd round this year, lose 2 of our 3 primary ball handlers, lose our two best scoring guards, lose 2 of our 3 big men, and return a player in Momcilovic who honestly underwhelmed in his development (defense, rebounding, and shooting consistency).
I love Lipsey and Jefferson, but we have way too many questions to even be considered a top 20 team.
Only one SEC team in the top 10… I thought they had the best conference over there… 
Hard to put much stock in these Pre-Season polls. Just guessing game on much of it. Some teams hsve 1-2 rotational players at this moment but come late Oct they’ll be part of the mix.
When you look at the talent playing in the Players Era tournament at Thanksgiving it will be absolutely stacked. I’m not sure how they are going to design it with 18 teams, but whoever wins it will probably be #1 December 1.

I don’t know how they’re going to do this with multiple teams from the same conference. With 4 Big XII and SEC teams, I’m thinking they will have 4 pools with a school in each pool.
In 2026, the tournament will expand to 32 schools.

I wish they would have done a shorter timeframe. Lots has changed since 2015.
4 years of Dave Rose and 5 years of Mark Pope doesn’t have much bearing on BYU’s team next season.
