Paper bag night in Cincinnati is being driven by social media not Cincinnati basketball. Excellent idea to drive away fans. The “We’re so bad we are wearing bags over our head crowd.” For mature fans, it translates to “Our team is so bad I’m not going to the game.”
Wes Miller will get fired after this season unless Cincinnati pulls offs the biggest turnaround in college basketball.

I think its hilarious, but you’re right. Also, its not like its going to accomplish anything. You dont fire coaches midseason, and he wont be fired til the 1st anyway.

Wes is done… he has not come close to realizing the potential of Cincy. They need to refresh and get another coach… it is not that hard to win there… they have great history and recent success under Cronin…

Obi Agbim, Dan Skillings, Michael Rataj. Poor additions in the portal
They’ve also had terrible injury luck last 4 yrs.
Need a GM to manage your roster better. And a new S&C program. Too many injuries at Baylor. A knee injury every season

It’s now been 3 years since Jerome Tang’s first-year 83-82 OT win over Kansas, where he stood on a table and shouted, “We got you one court storming, from now on, expect to win!”
To quote the Topeka Journal at the time:
But what appeared to be a moment of unbridled emotion for K-State’s first-year head coach — and no doubt it was that — was really something more. It was Tang not only sharing the joy, but also taking advantage of a teaching moment.
In other words, it was Tang being Tang.
“This isn’t about who we just beat,” he shouted. “This is about winning.”
Unbridled emotion isn’t EXACTLY what I’d call it lol @2002Coog … Let’s all carefully consider that only 1 year after this tabletop proclamation… Tang publicly accused arguably, character-wise, one of the most unimpeachable coaches in the country of masterminding a conspiratorial coordinated Connor Stallions-style spy ring … Because he lost…in Hilton…where most ppl lose.
Though FAR from his last cartoonish display of narcissism I’ve been sounding the alarm about since 2023, after stepping down from that table where he proclaimed his greatness to us all, Tang has gone 54-47 overall and 23-30 in Big 12 play. We’ve learned to expect a lot of things from JT, but winning? Not so much.
