Wish I could sit in at practice and see the Ced vs Ja’Vier matchup. At 260 lbs Ced is our heaviest big man
Hopefully we find out he is actually 6-9.
We measured him at 6’10!
6’10
Last time UH had two players 6’10 or taller on the same active roster ???
Will he also play for us this year? We certainly could use his help!
height in sneakers or not?
They are all 6’10 - 6’11 until they step on campus and shrink to 6’8 - 6’9. It’s amazing how that happens. I think it will happen in this case too.
He was measured on his visit.
McFarland may be 7 feet by the time he gets here.
Actually I don’t care if he is 6-8 as long as he plays 6-10……see Francis.
Hope Tugler gains another inch or two!
Arizona had big guys last year and they had to watch UH play on TV.
Greyrider - Because we had one big last year (Carlton) to neutralize Arizona without a sweat. We frustrated them and surprised everyone.
We will sweat if we face them this year.
How much we sweat depends on Francis, & J. Walker’s offensive development.
(And if Roberts starts hitting from the outside).
Carlton.
Robert’s doesn’t even shoot from the outside, let alone hit
Us beating Arizona had more to do with Jamal and Kyler than it did Carlton.
And Mathurin was pretty bad. 4-14 from the field.
Last year on defense, we had Carlton to cover their bigs so we didn’t need to help inside as much we do this year. Our guards could concentrate on their guards like Mathurin and shut him down.
On offense, Carlton was a threat against single coverage, so they couldn’t ignore him, which opened up things for Kyler and Shead.
We can do similar things this year if our shorter bigs develop offensively.
Ballo played 10 minutes. Tubelis was terrible. 0-8 from the field. We had Fabian guarding him.
Koloko took 6 shots.
I know we keep trying to make the no big man at 6’10” a thing. We’re trying really hard.
But Jamal and Kyler just balled the eff out against Zona. Kyler shut Mathurin down.
