Charity Exhibition vs Texas A&M, October 27th 4PM

For all the ups and downs with the Cougar football team, let those go and find a way to get a ticket to watch the Cougar baskeball team. It was an exhibition. That said, our Cougars have some DUDES that will be big problems for other teams. J’Wan Roberts, Terrance Arcenaux, LJ Cryer, Mercy Miller, and JoJo Tuggler…UH has scoring options all over the floor and they all REBOUND. JoJo Tuggler is a DUDE. Big time motor and his build looks physically bigger. If he gets his inside scoring cranked up, I’m not sure how you stop Houston.

They’ll be watching that all week.:joy:

Was Bryce Jackson here as well?

This jumped out to me, as well. To my eyes, he looked at least as good as when he was at his best last year.

Teams that thought we were overly physical last year are going to hate us this year. Uzan’s length on defense at the point of attack is going to be every bit as difficult to navigate as trying to get away from Shead.

I think we’re going to be one of those teams that actually builds leads when the bench players come into the game. It’s hard to imagine another team having a second 5 that can compete with ours. Mercy will be in that group coming off the bench very soon.

Change players on court like ice hockey does? Total “line” change ? ? ? ? ?

Foster did this with his last team that made the tournament. We would switch all 5 players. He did that the whole season until the NCAA tournament.

Mercy Miller…he’s got a smooth looking shot and he looks confident with some swagger when he pulls the trigger. I’ve only got one small sample size from the exhibition, but I like what I see. Miller, Arceneaux, Cryer, and Sharp. CKS has some shooters.

Ja’Vier wasn’t on the floor today, but he is going to be one of those guys!

I saw Javier Francis in street clothes. Why didn’t he play? He’s another returning player that looks bigger–his shoulders have some size. He looks like he has bought-in on the UH strength and conditioning program. Tuggler, too.

They said he has a groin injury. He will be ready by the start of the season. Sampson said if this was a regular season game he would have played.

Francis has a groin injury but CKS says he would’ve played if real game.

See I didn’t like that, we have the depth even in the regular season if he would need one more have/cycle to be 100% let him be 100% than playing him at 80 or 90%> It’s why you want depth, so you didn’t find players to the nub of have to pay them less than fully healthy.

It could be that the injury isn’t serious or he has recovered and sat as a precaution.

Many mercy!

Not sure what game you’re watching. Lol

Nate

In person he seemed like he was playing at a normal speed.

And I will also say I was surprised at how he was vocal at times. There were things like telling players where to be or something coming out of a timeout.

@bjjackson1988 that was a comment for the first few minutes of the game

After, about 5 minutes in Uzan seemed more comfortable

Playing with a mask, missing last weeks scrimmage, i thought he played fine

@Footballer13 i thought Uzan was good

*hes got good handles, crafty

*His change of his speed with the ball could get better

*His defensive intensity, can get better, in terms of being more active for steals, but that’ll take time as well

I like the kid alot
