The hit rate on second contracts with the same team after you get out of the lottery and even at the end of it is really nuts.
Like way lower than you would think.

At this point, I canât imagine Cenac or Flemings returning next year. They have too much talent.
This is the result of UHâs success in recruiting one-and-done talent. You must replace them every year. That is why you need a mix of 4 and 5 stars. Miller, McCarty, and Jackson are not one-and-dones, and will benefit from being in the program longer, enhancing their draft value.
He imposes himself inside? He will be in the top five. That is what I am looking for. I think we have seen very little of what he can do inside. He is at .6 block per game.
Coach has already got Kingston and Cenacs replacements lined up. Bigger issue is that on top of those two weâre going to be losing two more senior guards and possibly Tugler as well.
Projected roster
1.Mercy Miller
2.Isiah Harwell
3.Chase Mccarty
4.Jojo Tugler
5.Arafan Diane
6.KJ Jefferson
7.Ced Lath
8.Bryce Jackson
9.Jacob McFarland
10.Ikenna Alozie
11.(OPEN)
12.(OPEN)
13.(OPEN)
Departures
1.Emanuel Sharp
2.Milos Uzan
3.Kingston Flemings
4.Chris Cenac
5.Kalifa Sakho
6.Ramon Walker Jr
Speaking of Jefferson where has he been. Every game I check he is tabbed as âundisclosedâ
We will 100% go to the portal for experienced guards next season. No doubt
Depends on who we sign next year and who comes back. Harwell, Alonzi, Holt and McCarty, Jackson and Miller would be a pretty good starting point
Yes âŠthe world famous Hakeem âDip Donkâ.
Go Coogs !
I donât think we are bringing in Alozi to start. He was recruited to play behind KF for a season. If itâs not KF I think it will be someone else.
At this point, Cenac has demonstrated he has an outside shot. I want to see more strength under the basket on offense and especially defense. He also needs to work on cutting down his fouls.
Bumping this thread.
@rtcoog can we get the other thread merged?
Since Kingston Flemings has his own thread, I thought Iâd start one about Cenac.
I absolutely love this freshman. He has shown some great flashes.
I have seen a lot of comments about how he doesnât play strong inside. One poster even called him a prima donna.
CKS has always said everybody has a role. Could it be that Cenacâs role is to not bang inside, but instead to stretch the floor and create spacing? Has anybody asked CKS? Asking for a friend.
My prediction: he wonât leave after this year. Itâll be bookmarked because itâs the 2nd post on the thread.
Its still early. And freshman will have their slumps.
But his play, has certainly not helped his draft stock.
People know he can shoot jumpers. What else can you do?
In terms of âroleâ, when this team is missing jumpers/3pts, we need Jojo & Cenac to get us an easier bucket inside.
The real contenders all have a legit inside scorer, do we?
Cenak wonât leave. Cenac may.
That goes back to my original question. Do we? Is that what Sampson wants from him?
Cenac does provide more floor spacing. With his 3pt shooting ability
But, at times this teams needs a bruiser. A dunker/shot blocker.
I wish we played Iowa State x2, Arizona x2. Those teams will really test Cenac toughness.
To answer your question. Is he doing what a freshman should do. Yes. Is he doing what a starting 5. National Championship contender Center should do, No.
Jojo is making better progress. You hope the same w/ Cenac
I wouldnât even say heâs slumping, but I think heâs settling too much offensively for his jumper or passing out. Which wouldnât be a big deal if Jojo didnât have the offensive touch of a swinging sledgehammer.
Thereâs already a Chris Cenac Jr Thread.
