I think Sampson is just saying that it would make recruiting easier and expand his reach faster. Not that it would hinder him from winning.

That wasnât in response to coach but rather a poster who suggested that weâd become a losing program without one. I get why coach wants one and depending on the cost Iâm fine with us spending on one. However if the cost is high, then it just wouldnât be at the top of my list of things to do/get for our athletic department.

I think the old heads on this board need to get with the times. ALL of the big programs have PJs for their coaches to make quick trips for recruiting. Stop complaining and CATCH UP. If CKS needs it, give it to him. You idiots are acting like the âget off my lawnâ crowd.
Coaches flying on PJs to make recruiting trips easier and quicker for them, is part of todayâs recruiting world. Stop saying it doesnât matter. IT DOES.
And if you for one second think that CKS can leave and we will be âfineâ youâre wrong. Heâs given everything to this basketball program and gotten us to where we are today. If that man wants a pony, give him a damn pony. That simple.

I think Tilman has done A TON for the University of Houston but we are fooling ourselves if you think he doesnât view this as anything more than a part time volunteer job where he can swoop in when needed.

CKS is acting like there is an endless stream of cash. He makes good money, his family makes good money, his facilities are top notch, the stadium is sold out with max season tickets. Where is the money going to come from? Do we keep raising prices on season tickets to get him a jet? We do not even have B12 money yet.

Best I can tell, Sampson isnât demanding a private jet, he just thinks it would make his recruiting life easier. I think posters are making this a bigger deal than it really is.

Itâs so funny that many people wanted to be able to recruit the best and now we are. Yet, they donât realize what it takes to land these guys.
Better hope CKS doesnât leave because we will be hoping three stars sign with us again. And the same people complaining about the jet, will be the same people about the level of recruits we will receive.
