Coogs 7-2!

Be careful what you ask for…

Bro you are a giant Fritz fan. We get it. But as soon as Fritz leaves you go with him. The rest of us real Cougar fans will still be around through thick or thin. So give it a rest, carpetbagger.

I was simply responding to another poster on the MB. Does being a lifelong friend make me a carpetbagger? If so, I’ll wear that label with pride.

But at least I’m not a lifelong fan who thinks every time the Coogs don’t perform to perfection, they’re “Coogin’ it”….

I reserve the right to respond to other “fans” who are looking in every corner to find ways to disparage a guy who is giving his all to Houston Football.

If You (and some of your pessimistic cohorts) keep up with all the negativity, those half empty stands will look even emptier. What a bunch of unwelcoming crybabies…

I believe in this team and their ability to do great things. It doesn’t matter to me if a handful of folks who feel entitled to a “higher level of fandom” see me as an outsider.

Not sure I give a crap about being welcomed by you or any other trolls on this MB.

Going forward, I’ll refrain from responding when others act foolish. Everyone has a right to embrace their own “fandom” the way they see fit.

And You’re right. When Willie retires (or leaves), I’ll have no reason to stick around and listen to all the griping about the next guy “Coogin’ it”…

Until then, Willie is no different than ANY other head coach who has passed through the University of Houston in that he is open game to Constructive criticism. But disparaging comments or unwarranted ridicule? Hell no…

If you don’t want to “listen” to it, then why are you here? There are certainly other ways to support your buddy than spending time on a message board that you don’t like.

Calling people who disagree with you and your condescension “trolls” is pretty silly. And going with some kind of threat that WF could leave - what are you even doing?

A community has all kinds of contributors, but you seem to think that only those who agree with you and steadfastly refuse to criticize literally anything about the program are legitimate. We don’t do cults here.

Yup. Newbie.

Good. But it feels like a cult to an “Outsider”.

I’m on this MB because of the many fans who don’t feel like you.

I actually have a good deal of folks who click “like” on my posts, and some who straight out message me and say ignore the dumbasses on here, we appreciate your take on things.

Guess I should listen to THEM…

Maybe he can do another poll and then analyze it and tell us how crappy fans we are.

Newbie > Troll

Truth sometimes hurts….

7-2

By Saturday morning, over coffee, the Coogs will be 8-2.

That’s all that matters…

I don’t mean this as a disparagement at all, it’s a genuine comment about football fans in general. Have you seen or heard the fans at other schools, especially the big name teams in big name conferences? UH is extremely mild compared to that. I mean that Alabama dude poisoned a tree. The problem here isn’t negativity it’s apathy. We might be a lot better if we had 100k fans who were extremely pissed at a bad game and demanded better… Especially if they backed it up with their money and were an obvious large audience for espn to pander to.

Oh, please tell me how I feel.

If you really care about how many people “like” your posts (and you clearly do if you’re taking note of that), then you would stop with the condescending BS. People would “appreciate” what you have to say much more if you didn’t say it like a complete DB.

Totally on board with this…

I’d like to get back to the… we’re 7-2 discussion.

Just gonna ignore the entitled drama queens…

Yawn.

Dude is accurate. WF is what we need. He is rebuilding our program and providing culture to a starved program. Does anyone need to be reminded of
the sabbatical with CDH. The inability to even provide intelligent answers to questions? HIs, lackadaisacal treatment of our athletes. I don’t think it was he didn’t care, I just think he wantd a resting place in the AAC. The BIg12 is no resting place. WVU exposed that last week though keep in mind, WVU, beat Pittsburg which has the same record as we do. THey will be another BIG12 team to worry about in the future.
We are building for the future. His current recruits are the best we have had in ages. He is developing players and getting players from the Portal.
This is not the time for doom and gloom but to see the sun breaking over our program. JMHO

This may be true, but it simply doesn’t make any sense to extend CWF at this point in time.

He is only in his second season, he is already 63 years old, and we are still losing money. It would be one thing if he were 54, but 63/64 years old? Hell no.

Sorry, but I stand by what I said: if he doesn’t like it here, then he can leave. We can grab Franklin, Hartline, Fickell, or the HC at Memphis. With where UH is, I am actually not that worried about finding an HC.

Colleges need to stop throwing money at these dudes that they end up regretting later.

Fumbles killed our drives but we ran for 2.6 yards a carry. That’s pitiful. Four if those were losses by Conner but Hell.

I go back to CBY so perhaps someone can inform me when we were not “rebuilding our program”. Letsee, we had the 3 stooges, Abbott and Costello, Judas and the many dwarfs, etc.
