EBCYH is for the chicks and kids. This is basic stuff. We message board boosters are more visceral.
But I doubt this will get the families renewing…
Combine that with Jiba Jaba and you’ve got yourself some compelling entertainment.

I much prefer Lauren. Chinedu is so corny.
Man, I was just thinking about this the other day while watching the replay of the game. It’s one of the lamest things to hear at a game. I really wish someone would put an end to this lame “everybody clap your hands” crap.
Except when we do the sing along at the football games and he keeps talking during…you know…the singing part.
Seriously, there is little to no reason to complain about the MCing efforts at FC. That place knows how to put on an event. Way better than football IMO. Yeah, yeah I understand that a packed house at night for a winning program goes a long way, but Top Drops as the intro with the phone lights is hands down the best intro to any basketball event I’ve been to.
I tell my friends and family all the time that when they go to a conference game at the FC, it tops any other sporting event in Houston.
I agree, slow down the music, especially Womp Womp.
Screwed down Womp Womp…
Chinedu does both basketball and football
Only the DJ is at the football game which is the difference.
While we’re on the subject, do people not know how to chant “air ball?” It’s supposed to be mocking the opposing player, so it Aaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrr baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall! Do kids not know how to do this?
Correct. I don’t know what the official title is, but the wizard responsible for the pregame hype, timeout circus, halftime glow stick convention, and shiny light things deserves a raise. The football side? Maybe they can borrow that person for a quarter or two.
@JeffM_CP you might read through this thread about the highly engaged (ie donor) fanbase’s take on how to improve the basketball game time experience.
To summarize, respect our team’s performance by returning the focus to the game, turn down the incessant noise, stop trying to turn a fun college atmosphere into a NBA arena, (personal peeve) get rid of that buffoon constantly bellowing at us, and for goodness sake stop “everybody clap your hands” - an arena full of knowledgeable basketball fans can decide when to cheer without that idiocy.
PS - I cringe every time I hear the buffoon bellow about the “new tradition” and can’t believe that my university would ever endorse a nonsensical, oxymoronic statement like that.
I like all the stuff, haters.
I like it. Get’s the crowd in the game. If you don’t want to clap, don’t.
She is better on the eyes lol
How many times? 3? 5? 10?
Everytime.
lol @ this thread…

@JeffM_CP just back from the WV game. Only one clap your hands! Game experience was much more enjoyable. Stadium garage exit was quick and painless with a number of parking attendants and taped off exit routes.
Good job and please pass this on to your staff.
Hallelujah at the single Clap Your Hands.
Anybody know the name of the band song that sort of sounds like the beginning of the chorus for Tops Drop (but faster and a bit different)? They play it maybe once a game.
