Yes, at least in part because you don’t want “american blacks” [sic] to make you observe “[their]” holiday. You have made your point abundantly clear. Nevermind, of course, that nobody is making you, personally, observe any holiday by choosing to close their business.

no, it is the govt deciding which holidays; much like the govt makes all taxpayers pay a portion of electric cars from the EV rebates. again, i am advocating no holidays; then we all have choice. every year the entire jewish community must observe Christmas as they do not have choice and has to use their own vacation days for their holy days.
The government only decides which holidays the government will observe. You have the right to do with your time what you will, including keeping your business open every single day of the year, as many do. Many businesses choose, largely out of convenience, to follow the government’s lead and close to observe the same holidays, but no business is ever required to be closed for a Holiday.
The Jewish community is not forced to observe Christmas. Their employer might choose to close to observe the holiday, or not, but that is their choice as an enterprise, not a mandate from the government. In fact, the government cannot force Jewish employees to observe Christmas, because that would be a blatant violation of the First Amendment.

It’s amazing that somehow the arguments just keep getting worse. Somehow I think everyone is good with paid days off that doesn’t come out of their own PTO regardless of religion.

What happened to our holidays? Good thing it’s not political or it would be awful.
It’s just another thread of somebody feeling somebody is taking or stealing “their culture” . Another name for it might be fear of “white erasure”.
“They’re taking our culture - our food, our churches, our music.”
So yes all threads like this are a bit ridiculous. But keep in mind the
outrage by some of a Super Bowl halftime performance.

Complaining about the presence of miscegenation is labeling and defaming yourself.
Saying that we should get rid of all holidays because now Juneteenth is included is sus and labels yourself.
Separating American veterans vs Black Americans labels yourself. There’s never been an American war where Black veterans didn’t fight for this country even going back to British Colonial America. The western world was built and preserved in no small part by Black people. America would not be America of today without Black people. So again you’re labeling yourself.
What tells on yourself and labels you above all in this particular discussion is that nothing has been lost by Juneteenth becoming a federal holiday. Nothing. Veteran’s Day is still a holiday. It’s never been a federal day off. Memorial Day still exists. It’s still a federal day off. So you’re crying over nothing.
Your own admitted ignorance labels yourself.

sorry, no i have not separated black americans from veterans, i am actually being inclusive by trying to advocate the country to use holidays as they see fit. i have never mentioned once not to include any black, jewish, veteran or irish holiday. my sister married into a jewish family and every year they have to fit the holy days into and around what the us govt has declared as holydays rather than being able to use some govt allocation of days. i am excluding no one and am the one trying to be inclusive.

The govt doesn’t allocate holidays unless you work for them. I don’t get off but a handful of them.
Anyway, your point could have been fine if you left it at that. You said more which has been pointed out.
