Fertitta Center Experience

I guess we should stay quiet. The food service folks are smart as Hell. I don’t want be going in the main Fertitta entrance and run smack nose-to-nose with a provolone-sniffing alsatian.

Imagine if we offered prices like they do in Atlanta.

With food prices like that, we’d sell A LOT of beer.

I’ve maintained that offering a “happy hour” with cheaper prices up to like 20 minutes before the games start would actually get people in their seats earlier and sell more stuff.

Whataburger and Cougar Peña’s in Pearland before games!

I don’t call myself a Houstonian, I live in Katy. I only lived in Houston itself for a total of about 5 years. I have lived in Sugar Land for 8 years and and Katy for 32, the most I have lived anywhere in my life. I was raised in Louisiana but left when I was 24.

NFL told the falcons they’d have to raise the prices when they hosted the superbowl, Falcons said no, and set the record for $ off concessions at a Super Bowl.

Wow that’s impressive.

Makes the $4k ticket seem worth it…

Is it just me or was the AC not working this season. We sit in section 116, and there has been a lot of games this season where the temperature has been borderline unbearable.

At first I thought it was just us, but I’ve been noticing more and more people bring this up. This last game against Kansas was pretty obvious that it was warm. It’s almost as if they don’t want to turn on the AC in order to save money? Maybe this actually helps the players?

Who else has felt the same? Is there anyone who we can bring this up too? I feel as if nobody points this out, nothing will be done about it.

I wondered the same thing. That place is typically an icebox.

At least a few of the after-game podcasts mentioned that AC repairs are planned for the ongoing issue.

Last night was really warm

Well they have abt 7-8 mos to get it repaired I guess.

It was so hot last night.

At one point the lights went out in the stands and concourses, it was odd.

I think the issue with the lights happened a few times. I didn’t notice if the concession stands lost power, but the deal with the lights made me wonder if all of them were about to drop out.

It’s worse in the winter when it’s cold outside but then warm inside, can’t even cheer, I’ll start sweating from the adrenaline

There were a couple of winter games where I left my seat and went over by the entrance to get some cool air. They should have just opened the doors and let cool air in.

@monceaux - is this something that you can help bring to light to the powers that be? Hopefully this will be fixed by next season
