i love the optimism… but our backups are a walk on and a juco qb from a small school who had a 9:11 td:int ratio… nebraska backup is a freshman but he was a 4star qb

removing the coog glasses, our back up situation is not that much better …

your are comping us in the preseason to live game film, so we look better, as preseason hype is always higher than reality
but no nebraska fan would have traded their qb room for ours 2 weeks ago

I never made a QB comparison, I believe that was you. I will be optimistic until otherwise, if needed. Constant negativity is exhausting and redundant.

and I literally write that I’m not comparing the qbs in my post… i flat say they are nothing alike… i said the situations they are in are similar not the play

FBS height/weight for the position but the athleticism of FCS. (maybe)

I lived in Chicago 12 years and had never heard of Oskee-wow-wow until now. Their fight song mentions other schools more than Illinois. “Talkin’ 'bout the Cougars” is more inspiring.

That cheer has been associated with the University of Illinois since the late 1800s.

The song was written in 1910.

I am so tired of all these negative anti Tune guys, their constant drumbeat has worn way beyond thin a long time ago. With so called fans like these we don’t need negatives from our opponents. I just never understand why all these guys just can’t keep quiet for a while. If Tune were to lead us to an undefeated season, I am sure they would only highlight his incompletions and if he only threw one pick, we would no doubt hear about it all season and off season.
