Heartland sports owner wants us expelled

TV is all that matters these day. Butts in the seats is great for the school’s pocketbooks, but does nothing for espn, fox, abc, cbs, or nbc. Eyeballs on the screen are what matters.

We have the third or fourth largest city in the US. So as long as we are not opposite UT or aTm on TV, we are going to bring eyeballs if we are winning.
As my Nebraska buddy says, they sell out every game because there is nothing else to do in Nebraska (Iowa, Kansas, Oklahoma, etc)…especially in the Fall.

Win and have a half full stadium or lose and have a packed house. I would rather WIN!

Why not both? I would prefer a win and a packed house.

Remember how fun that Louisville game was? A packed house and a win!

The attendance was pathetic but he chooses to video half time? When everyone went into the shade to cool off? Joker.

I couldn’t believe how great that was because it wasn’t a Saturday

100 percent. Any Big12 fan harping on attendance is part of the problem with this conference. More concerned with style over substance. Houston’s attendance issues will fix itself in time. Just keep winning.

How many?

It’s just low-hanging fruit for hating. How many Big 12 programs have finished ranked in both football and basketball the last couple seasons? It’s basically us and Tech, with BYU right there too. We’re in that group despite the attendance issues. They’ve been faithfully “filling” their stadiums and can’t sniff our success, so naturally they’re mad.

Winning helps, but people in Houston are addicted to playing indoors. It’s Astrodomeitis, a psychological disorder caused by people used to watching games in indoor sports facilities.

Memphis is ragging on us in that Heartland article. I remember their stadium being half full

KU announced a crowd of 32k today so there’s that.
I don’t care about attendance. Wish we had more fans but that doesn’t take away the fact we won today.
Buckle up next week and win a tough one at KSU and will have a nice crowd against Okie Lite.

LOL Memphis. They have the worst case of Little Brother Syndrome.

Heartland Sports just aggregates the work of others. The entire business model is theft.

Hardly home, but always repping

Memphis has no room to talk, their only competition in the city of Memphis is a marginal nba team. the city of Memphis shoulda spent the past 20 years getting it behind u of m as it would benefit the city but they never did.
UH may be one of the bottom athletic programs in the big12, it is still a light year ahead of u of m and were the right choice for the last program to make the big12 sixteen programs.

Exactly. They can’t hit us in the W/L column so they hit at what they can, superficial ish. We’re barely 4 years in and already out working them on the field and the court. Tired of us playing nice. We need to thump our chest a little more.
