I’m hoping if there is a season that CDH will be able to open up the offense more because we have more depth on defense and he won’t have to dial down his tempo to protect the defense.

Peggy here! Yes I am female and I did appreciate that my comments about CDH didn’t cause a full attack on me!!! To be honest I did cringe a bit when I pushed the send button; hoping I wouldn’t get verbally assaulted. LOL Thank you for the restraint!!! As I wrote earlier I think we should all agree to disagree and more importantly be respectful to each other. (Dang I hope I’m wrong about CDH!!!) I have always looked at UH as classier In comparison to those other two big public universities in Texas. Some of the things loud, aggressive and arrogant things I have heard come out of some of their mouths is embarrassing. I don’t want us to be like that - arrogant and loud. Let’s be respectful especially to each other!! We have more in common than not!!! Peace!!!

His first year at West Virginia they won the Orange Bowl, finished 17/18 (depending on which end of season poll) at the end of the year and dropped 70 on Clemson in that Orange Bowl win.

The only problem with that is Holgy is making $5 mil/yr the team playing hard shouldn’t be celebrated. One thing that concerns me is he doesn’t have a good social media presence. As much as we all probably hate it that’s where the kids are at. They got good 3 good signings so far so hopefully things are pointing up.
I disagree with this somewhat. True, he doesn’t have the social media presence of a Herman, for example, but his assistants are very active on social media, and I am okay with that arrangement since they are the first/extended contacts for recruiting.

There still not that active compared to other programs. Especially considering the quarantine they have been rather quiet.

Not a fan either…probably the arrogance. Program feels deflated. Anyways, i hope he does well.
I could not care less about his social media presence. On the list of things I concern myself regarding coaches - their recruiting, and coaching, it does not make the list.
What are you implying? I’m on social media quite a bit because I have an 8th grader so I have to keep up.
You should since that’s what a lot of recruits care about and how they communicate. I know that’s going to rub this board the wrong way but that’s how recruiting is happening for the most part. As much we hate CTH now he was effective pumping up the program.
They don’t give a shizz about the head coach being on twitter.
I don’t care about his social media presence or not. I kind of like his blunt demeanor as well. Once he begins to win, which I believe will be this year, people won’t care as much either. If he has a decent recruiting class, has all those transfers, red shirts and injured returning this season with some significant depth, we will win and the recruiting will begin to trickle up.

How do we know CDH isn’t communicating with recruits via text? Social media is for blasting messages to larger crowds. I would imagine a personal text message from the HC would be viewed pretty favorably by recruits and I would assume CDH is doing just that even if he’s not a big presence on Twitter.

Everybody I get it in CDH we trust I was just asking a question. I’m not saying he isn’t contacting recruits or doing anything to get make the roster better. I don’t think his style is to be outgoing and be on social media. If you don’t think that matters all though you haven’t been around recruiting lately. When he starts winning it will matter less but G5 schools have to self promote as much as possible.
CDH better start winning cause this board is full of hostility lol.
