There’s never been a team more in control of its own destiny than that.
Yeah, I heard on the radio they had 7 like you said but then I was looking at a rangers schedule that only showed 6….
Seven games is even better….and yes if they go 4-3:3-4 that would be perfect….guaranteed three losses for one of them and four losses for the other……
That’s obviously best for division.
If looking at it from just make the playoffs you would want one of them winning 6-7 to insure wild card.
But I’m with you……division
Edit ——I just figured it out, I was to dumb to flip to October and see the last game.
My gut feeling is that Seattle will win the division. Man, I hope I’m wrong. The Astros could legitimately miss out on the playoffs altogether. That would be pretty disappointing.
Nothing to worry about….Dana Brown said we would win the division….
I still think it is going to be the Astros winning the division and the pennant.
There was a great article in ESPN+ on the Astros and how hard the following season is after a championship. They interviewed some of the Yankees on the back to back to back championship seasons. They said the regular season was extremely difficult after a championship but they turned it on at post season. I think that will be the Astros.
They have to get to the postseason first and I’m still not sold on them being able to beat Seattle.
Any boat captained by Dusty can hit an ice berg.
Yainer must have fallen out of the boat on the way to the stadium….
At bare minimum if he is gonna catch Maldonado then put Alvarez in LF so Yainer can DH.
Now Dubon is in CF……I guess Framber gets a personal CF as well.
You guys have me rolling today!
One thing is for certain…after tonight we’ll either be up by 1/2 game or down by 1/2 game.
Texas is as Jeckle/Hyde as the Astros. They sweep 4 games at Toronto and then get swept by Cleveland! I’m pulling for them against Seattle.
I’m very careful about pulling for them. I don’t want the forces of darkness to think I’m a fellow traveler.
We do have the tie breaker over the Rangers….I think best scenario would be Texas wins 4 of 7.
I don’t know who to pull for right now between the two them. After this weekend the Rangers have three games against the Angels and Seattle has three games against us.
That might actually be a good reason to openly root for them.
Mctaggert just said he thinks Yordan is hurt. Dusty is going to start playing him at DH.
Diaz is screwed
Yuk
We don’t have the mojo this year, guys. It has to be won on guts and professionalism.
4-0 royals 1st —- EEEEEKKKKK
Good thing Maldy knows just how to handle him.
Can you imagine what the score would be if he wasn’t catching?
He really wasn’t catching until the 2nd batter.
