Very glad it didn’t happen….I’d rather see a better option in free agency or by trade this off season…. Or let Dirden have a shot.
I would bet my last dollar that Dirden could put up at least as good of numbers as Conforto’s last year.

I started calling this like two weeks ago. They aren’t even a lock to make the playoffs. AL East records since July 3rd: Orioles: 33-17, Rays: 30-21, Blue Jays: 26-24, Yankees: 21-31, Red Sox: 20-34

It would certainly be hilarious but im not sure what scenarios is the most fun. Seeing them miss the playoffs altogether, beating them again in the ALCS, or watching them lose to someone like Baltimore or Toronto in a WC series. Either way i think we’re in for a serious meltdown come October.

So went to Wed day game between Rangers Stros. I live in Plano and grew up getting autographs from Jim Wynn as an Astros buddy. Anyway the crowd was 50/50 and the cheers and boos for Altuve was the same.

We all know that the Astros wasn’t the only team cheating. Hell in 2017 EVERYONE was cheating on the mound with sticky substances to get more grip on the ball.
But be that as it may, sports are better when there is a villain. The Astros are like the Oakland Raiders used to be which is really good and really hated. Cool, for much of our history we were really mediocre and really forgotten.

Reminds me a lot of myself 30 years ago…. Pitching style almost identical……only difference is 10-12 mph off the fast ball and 6-8 inches less break on the ol’ CB……other than that….
