I want him back next year solely to break that record. Even though it will take him more games than Gettys itā€™s a big deal and heā€™s been the most important player on our team the last 3 seasons

This may be a captain obvious take, but Mal has really stepped up his game offensively. Heā€™s always been good on defense, but now heā€™s looking for his shot more. He really made a difference last night!

Jamalā€™s leadership cannot be understated. Cryer and Sharp are supposed to be our primary scoring threats and the last few games, they gave been in slumps, so Shead did what leaders doā€¦put the team on his back and do whatever it takes to win.

Yep, Shead is the engine. He looks to get the others involved first, but he has a great feel for when its time for him to score. And he is a much better scorer now. Cant remember which talking head said it, but to paraphrase, Shead has the uncanny ability to make good players great.

Whatever decision Shead makes after this season Iā€™ll wish him the best.

Maybe he wants to follow his dream to make it to the NBA and whether heā€™s drafted or not to go start that journey (G league, overseas etc).

It would be interesting if some Corp/UH alum could offer him an NIL deal for say a million $$ to come back next season if that might be enough to sway his decision to return? If he doesnā€™t make an NBA team next season I wouldnā€™t think these other options could pay him what a large NIL deal(s) could. So he returns to play one more season at UH and then starts his journey.

Would love it having both Shead and Roberts back next season.

If we can keep Shead here with an NIL package I will feel much better about next season.

I expect us to have a very loaded SR night playing Kansas while honoring Shead, Roberts, Cryer and Elvin.

For anyone whoā€™s seen him practice. Is there any chance of Jefferson being a point guard? Studying and practicing against Shead everyday should be rubbing off on him the way Shead had to go up against Grimes, Sasser and Jarreau.
