Kingston Flemings

Is Kingston’s rise impacting Uzan’s potential draft position?

Is this looked at negatively in the eyes of scouts and decision makers?

What is effecting “Uzan’s draft potential “ is his horrible shooting….not KF.

Can’t help but think if he was just hitting 40% of his WIDE OPEN 3’s, he’d be averaging 16+ ppg to go along with his assists. Kingston would then avg more assists, and the team would average about 6 more PPG. I’m hoping he unlocks whatever is blocking his mind, because I know he’s a better shooter than he’s showing right now

Exactly.

41% to 25%

And he is shooting 2-3 more three’s a game.

If something was off with his form the staff would have already identified it….this has to be a mental thing.

Sometimes you get into slumps and it’s hard to find your way out.

Definitely mental, I’m sure Kingston kind of taking over Milos’ point guard position as a freshman has to be messing with him, I don’t care how much of a team player he is they all have pride and feelings, Kingston’s rise benefits the team but has definitely messed Milos up somewhat

Do you guys really think he will be gone next year? Another year under CKS could only be beneficial for him. I know I am dreaming but with NIL…

Milos is a bright kid. This is only going to make Milos a better player, improve our team and will make him a better NBA prospect. Remember who is the HC. Some programs do not have a General like CKS. That is a monumental plus for us.

Will Uzan shoot better for his draft prospects or to get a National Championship

Flemings is gone and it’s not even debatable.

Thomas Sorber was the 15th pick in this years NBA draft. He signed a 4 yr 22 million dollar contract. So obviously if Kingston is picked before that the guaranteed money goes up even higher. So no he’s not coming back as NIL money can’t compete with this.

If he came back next season what happens if he gets hurt? You seize the opportunity and grab the guaranteed money when it’s there and this has nothing to do with starting the clock on his second contract in the NBA. You have to get that first guaranteed contract initially. Yes the potential of a 2nd contract is more lucrative but it’s about taking the first step of the NBA journey and getting the guaranteed money by being drafted in the 1st rd means you leave after this season (and not leaving after this season is extremely risky).

Bleacher Report put out a very thorough Mock today.

They have Kingston as PG1 , going 6th overall.

He passed Mikel Brown from Louisville who has really struggled with his shot.

Cenac at #18

Milos and JoJo both second round.

Milos really needs his 3 ball to start falling again. I’m officially worried about his deep ball.

Thank you. I still don’t understand the pervasive negativity of some ‘daisies’ on this blog. Its like non stop vomit.

The Houston Cougars basketball program has a storied history at the point guard position since head coach Kelvin Sampson took over back in 2014. The most recent transition was from program leader Jamal Shead in 2024 to now senior point guard Milos Uzan. This season, it’s been a bit different.

The Cougars are employing two point guards on the floor at the same time. Freshman point guard Kingston Flemingshas looked incredible early, and Sampson knew this all along. There is a reason why the 18-year-old is starting for Houston.Sampson believes that playing together is better for both Uzan and Flemings.

Is that like sayin
“Try to enjoy life before you die”?’

Speaking of Brady, whatever happened to him? He was putting up 17 and 11 in British in 2021 and I don’t see anything listed on him since.

With NIL should Kingston benefit from coming back next year?
He is already doing great but can you imagine two seasons under CKS?

No.
