Interesting criteria you got there……Must “tear up the Big 12 and get UH to the Final Four by himself to be a lottery pick.”

I am NOT disrespecting Flemings. He is a good player. But I haven’t seen anything that makes me say “wow!”. All I’m saying is he isn’t Ja Morant- yet- and that is a big yet. He sure as hell isn’t Rob Williams when Williams had his poop in group and was really rolling. Please note I previously said Flemings will stay as long as SAMPSON and his AGENT say.
I have been on this board long enough to know reading comprehension isn’t a strong suit for some folks. How’s that?
Yes
I’ve been saying Wow every game. Not sure what your not seeing.
Well neither one of them are going to say that if the course doesn’t change. So everything else is a moot point.
Just like in the real world absolutely no one is telling someone, “Nah don’t cash that winning Powerball ticket”
And if they do…
If your “powerball ticket” analogy applies, why should Flemings rush into the NBA? Won’t his value either remain constant or rise?
He need to stay healthy and play well the rest of the year. Team success however doesn’t have much impact on draft stock.
That’s unfortunate!
jarace was good but inconsistent back when were still in the american and was on the coogs team that had the worst tournament performance overall and that didn’t stop him from going 7th in the draft lol
Kingston is so far ahead of where Ja was as a freshman. And I don’t really get why anyone brings up Williams. Not really someone an aspiring pro should try to emulate. Wasted potential.
I for one am going to just enjoy watching his development as the Coogs make a run for number one!
I just don’t understand some people’s pretzel logic. They think that just because Flemings is a Cougar, he’s going to magically make a decision to stay when 100 kids out of 100 in that same situation will enter the draft.
These people create this scenario in their head to fit what their wishes are.
This says a lot more about you than it does about Flemings
I have explain this a few times. Let me try another tack. Leaving a year early gets him 1 year more in the NBA. An athlete only has a certain, but unknown, number (X) of years in their career. If he stays an extra year in the NCAA instead of the NBA he has one fewer year in the NBA than he would naturally have (X-1). The minus 1 would come at the end of his career. The last year of your NBA career is when you make the most money. This high salary NBA year is the year he would lose financially. He would not lose the first year money on his NBA career, but his last year of his career. Here is what LaBron James makes over his career:
If he played his first year in the NCAA instead of the NBA, (assuming this was his last year) he would have missed out on his 41st NBA year and a lifetime earnings of 52.6 million dollars.
OK sure that’s Labron. What about someone not a star. Lets pick our friend Jordan Poole. Here’s his lifetime earnings:

Imagine if, god forbid, he had a career ending injury this year. If he had stayed in college an extra year he would have only had 5 years in the league instead of 6 and he would have missed out on 31.8 million dollars

While I can’t approve the Jordan Poole usage, I do approve of the overall example.
Perhaps it will also behoove him to know that on multiple occasions one Coach Kelvin Sampson has said, “Of you have a first round grade or a guaranteed contract to the NBA you go. Period” Said it about Grimes, Shead, and Milos.
Hey I’m happy for him!
You guys are wasting your time on this guy. If he doesn’t get it by now, he never will.
