Moving to electric vehicles will dull recessions currently inflated by oil

At $7000+ profit per vehicle, they are doing okay

What kind of anti glaring Musk comment is this?
Musk has every incentives to make a better car/product and help his clients. Business 101 Dustin.

Maybe you’ve never heard of a cost benefit analysis. Carmakers have routinely put corporate profits over safety. Really this isn’t something unique to Elon or even to the car industry.

I’m looking at results here, when I see the article like I posted above and similar type of situations, I wonder if he’s spending more effort on the sizzle than the steak. There’s plenty to criticize Tesla over, and their high profile likely attracts more attention to the criticisms but that doesn’t mean they aren’t valid.

But really, that’s my opinion. You don’t have to like it, or agree with it.

Yea, how is Tesla doing?
That is your answer.

Well
This week wasn’t great for Tesla.

Shares in Tesla plunged 12% Thursday, wiping $80 billion off the company’s market value hours after it warned of slowing growth in electric car sales and an existential threat from Chinese rivals.

Tesla’s stock suffered its worst day in 21 months and closed at its lowest level since December 2022. Since the start of 2024, the company’s market capitalization has fallen by $210 billion.

Not great right now. So there’s the answer.

How has Tesla performed in the last 12 months?
You want the answer?

Down 30% the last six. Things aren’t going well. But keep trying to dig yourself out of that comment.

and over 1 year? Stocks evolve and Tesla is way above where it was a year ago. Deal with it. You have to know when to hold them and when to fold them. Basic trading advice.

Tesla is doing well especially compared to USA manufacturers. BYD is a major threat in the future.

Being above where you were a year ok is not doing great.

So Tesla is doing ok over the last year, awful the last 6 months.

Things aren’t great as I said. Keep digging though.

Toyota is kicking their butt recently.

Not in EVs. Hybrids have become the cars of choice lately.

Stock price is simply a guess at future earnings. I don’t see anyone moaning about Apple’s decline.

Toyota doesn’t focus on EVs. The market is the best we have to value companies and Toyota is doing really well. It’s not perfect but calling it simply a guess is a bit much.

And Apple isn’t down 30% over the last 6 months or people would be. They aren’t doing poorly at all. Weird comp.

You do not understand how stocks work. When you do get back to us.

Lol, how so? I’ll wait. Dispute something I said.

I understand the stock market plenty well. Feel free to show otherwise.

Truth is, you’re just trying to jump out of this discussion which is typical. You said something goofy and tried to talk your way out of it. It didn’t work so now you’re just going to act like I don’t know what I’m talking about.

Goofy? Jumping out? Keep it up buddy.

Yep, I know your playbook. And you’re continuing it.

You can’t debate something and you do this.

You know where you can find your playbook?

See what I mean. We all see your game man.
