OT - Houston Rockets

we overachieved by winning >50 games and being a 2 seed but saying its a miracle we made the playoffs is a stretch considering the goal or hope was making the playoffs via play-in lmao

Nice to see the Rockets come out strong tonight. Don’t fold in San Fran and don’t get in a fight

Rockets came out tonight, but the fans didn’t.

Is that surprising?

Houston fans?

Houston just doesn’t have many die hards. Slight exception for the Texans. But that’s only 8 home games

Lol.

Glad you’re not the coach.

Just because the rockets came out and made all their shots like the streaky shooters they are, doesn’t invalidate what I said

What you said is comical.

Udoka is not playing guys( both 20 years old) that have barely played all year.

What exactly do you think they are gonna do?

You think they are coming in and lighting it up? Get real.
And defense is just a little bit important, maybe.

You have no idea what you are talking about.

Cam averaged 16m per game and reed 12m a game. Both can scored and if u are not scoring they should be in the game.

You seem to be forgetting they BOTH had 31- DNP

Cam has an attitude problem and his defense sucks.
Reed is a 20 year old PG and is nowhere near ready.

But you think two guys that Coach Udoka didn’t play a combined 60+ games is the answer to the Rockets lack of scoring?

Just stop already, you are talking complete non-sense.

Texans actual attendance is awful. Regulary bunches of empty seats or 25K opposing fans.

At some point we might admit Houston is not really a good Sports town

The 6:30 start time is brutal in Houston, where fans are coming in from far-flung suburbs with zero mass transit options. On top of that, the Rockets kind of lost their fans over the last several years with non-competitive teams and rising prices, and it’s been thirty years since they were even in the finals. They need to win something to get those people back.

5 minutes before tipoff. It does looked really bad.

End of first quarter. I would ignore the club sections on both side. But overall, not a lot of empty seats and fans were loud.

UH fans are Houston sports fans, so the culture is the same at all sporting events in this town. But it was rush hour and a 6:30 tip off, too.

Houston has great support for winners. The Astros have done very well for an extended period.
The Texans finally dipped some but rebounded last season and will sell out their seats this season. Empties in luxury seating are part of the new norm.
As for the Rockets, there has been a gradual uptick this season and playoff crowds have been great.

If the Rockets beat the Warriors in game 6, lets see how Houston supports the Rockets for game 7. I’m not sure the Houston fans believed the Rockets would win game 5, and most likely 6. Give fans a game 7 and I think they will turn out.

My question is if there is a game 7, the fans will turn up, but which version of the Rockets show up?
